Hi editors, I recently uploaded two new images for C-SPAN, which can be found here and here. The first is of current CEO Sam Feist, the second of House Speaker Mike Johnson, both while they are appearing on the program Washington Journal.
I propose adding the photo of Feist to C-SPAN#Organization_and_operations and moving the photo currently in that section to C-SPAN#Channel_expansion_and_access. I propose adding the photo of Johnson to C-SPAN#C-SPAN_and_C-SPAN2_flagship_programs. I think these updates will help show what C-SPAN programming currently looks like and be good visual aids for readers. Please let me know what you think! Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 00:57, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
Go ahead: I have reviewed these proposed changes and suggest that you go ahead and make the proposed changes to the page. Valorrr (lets chat) 01:07, 11 November 2025 (UTC)

- Thanks for the review and nudge! Done, feel free to adjust exact placement. Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 21:04, 11 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Valorrr Now that there is a Sam Feist article, it occurs to me that it would make sense to make some wikilinks to it. Here are the spots in this article that I think make the most sense and meet MOS:
- First mention of Feist in Channel expansion and access
- Feist image caption in Organization and operations
- Infobox in Organization and operations
- If you agree, I'd be happy to make those edits. Thanks! BINK Robin (talk) 22:02, 13 November 2025 (UTC)
- I know you addressed this to Valorrr and sorry for sticking my nose in your conversation. Articles are normally not allowed to have the link to the same article more than once per Wikipedia policy.
- Also, just a question. Do you have access to an alternate image that would be accepted on Wikipedia to replace the File:Mike_Johnson_on_Washington_Journal.jpg? I can see issues being brought up about this image. A image with a neutral individual even a non-congressional person to illustrate the "C-SPAN and C-SPAN2 flagship programs" section would be better. Thank you for the other images you added. They definitely help the article. Msw1002 (talk) 01:15, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for your response! I based my link suggestions of WP:DUPLINK but will ultimately defer to volunteer editors on where links should be. I'm open to hearing specific concerns about the image, I don't have immediate access to an alternative. Cheers, BINK Robin (talk) 19:45, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- You are correct about duplicate links within the article. It all depends on where the link is mentioned more than once in the article. On the photo (I personally don't have a problem with it), but Johnson to some people might think he is not a good fit to represent the article. I may be wrong though and time will tell. The picture with Sen. Robert Byrd is a great addition for the historical value of the article. Msw1002 (talk) 23:35, 17 November 2025 (UTC)
- @Msw1002: I agree, the Byrd picture is a really cool look back at the history there. As far as the wikilinks go, what do you think of adding a link to Feist article at least on that first mention? I am happy to make that edit, just want to make sure everything is totally above board as far as COI rules go. BINK Robin (talk) 20:28, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
- I think you are okay to add the link as you described originally per WP:DUPLINK. Msw1002 (talk) 20:44, 2 December 2025 (UTC)
