Fair use rationale for Image:Billy Joe Royal Hush.jpg
edit
Image:Billy Joe Royal Hush.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:09, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Hush video
editDoes anyone happen to know where Billy Joe Royal's video for Hush was filmed? Who were the girls in the video? It appears to be Florida, maybe Daytona Beach or one of the cities in the Panhandle. Regards, Twalls (talk) 04:47, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
The earlier pre-Boondocks singles
editThere is no mention of records he recorded before Boondocks. I found material at and about two earlier flop singles that are not mentioned in the article. How can they be included? Steelbeard1 (talk) 16:33, 17 May 2013 (UTC)
On certain 1980s album
editShould we not generalize and put country singer on the albums considering by this point in his career he was mainly a country artist? Country&Rockabilly54 (talk) 21:50, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- I feel the way the artist is described in the lede is not related to the genres for the album. I guess an easy compromise is to say it's country album by by Billy Joe Royal with appropriate sourcing in the article. Doctorhawkes (talk) 03:19, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
- That would probably be the best way to put it, yes. Country&Rockabilly54 (talk) 04:33, 17 January 2026 (UTC)
