Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 Reception

edit

In contrast to the positive response of the mobile version of the game, the console versions recieved mediocre reviews[1] mostly in response to its ridiculously high price tag of $50 (which remains the barrier for those who want the Xbox One or PS4 versions). The game's price caused a decent amount of outrage among its fans [2]. I think this should be added to the Reception. Check out the collection of reviews for the various versions at http://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/angry-birds-star-wars.  Preceding unsigned comment added by OceanicMeerkat (talkcontribs) 16:20, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Unlockable by 3 staring all levels

edit

Is "Unlockable by 3 staring all levels" jargon that users of this game understand and could perhaps translate for the rest of us, or does it contain one or more typos? ϢereSpielChequers 18:57, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

It is a colloquialism for the game, meaning to get a high score on the level. As it can be considered a how-to item, it's been removed from the article. --McDoobAU93 19:14, 9 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just checked the link dispenser, I'm not sure how to resolve the archive URLs issue as I have never added one or used this tool before. Is adding them required for the GA assessment to continue, and if so, how do I add the necessary archive URLs? Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 17:55, 18 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's not a necessary although it's suggested. Run the page on iabot and it will add possible archives, make sure to tick the "add archives to live pages" box as well. Vestrian24Bio 09:05, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the tip. However, I have tried loading the webpage multiple times, including after clearing browser cache, and it has only lead to a 504 gateway crash each time. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 13:43, 19 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
I noticed you use bot on the article yourself, thank you for doing so! I'd like to ask something important: I was researching sources to use when I start working on improving the Angry Birds Star Wars II article and accidentally found a few additional sources that can be used to add additional material to this article, including sales figures for the mobile version and the inclusion of the Lando bird. Is it okay if I implement this before the review continues, or is it too late? Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 14:06, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
The bot had some sort of a problem for the past few weeks, It only started working from Today morning and I had a dozen of articles to do, so I just thought I'll cover this as well, while I'm on it.
I'll hold the review, while you add the new content. Ping me when you are done, and then I'll continue. Vestrian24Bio 16:17, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Vestrian24Bio Done! Thanks for waiting, that should be the last content I could possibly add for now. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 17:34, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
  • The lead should mention that the 2012 release "was for mobile and PCs" before being ported by Activision.
  • C-3PO dividing into smaller pieces, is it similar to that of the blue birds..?
  • WP:DUPELINKs:
  • In the Awards table, could link to 2014 Kids' Choice Awards directly..
  • There's a duplicated ref - 8&23

@SleepyRedHair: that's all I got, ping me when done. Vestrian24Bio 13:09, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Vestrian24Bio The suggested edits have been made, let me know if I missed anything. Regarding the C-3PO comment, the ability is somewhat similar to the Blues (that's their collective nickname) but not quite the same, not to mention the Blues are represented in this game as the Jedi Pilots. However, I could not find any of that in any sources, so I did not include it to avoid WP:OR. Signed, SleepyRedHair. (talk - contribs) 18:07, 5 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
