TPY-X?

The lead declares the system was “...formerly known as TPY-X.” All electronic systems in development end with parenthesis in place of the typical numeric ending, like AN/TPY-( ). If the system enters an experimental phase, it then is designated with a -X suffix, as in AN/TPY-X. So, it stands to reason, virtually all AN/TPY radar systems will be “formerly known as AN/TPY-X.” Without clear citation to a reliable source, I think that claim should be removed. — TadgStirkland⁴⁰¹(Tadg^Talk-Email) 01:49, 22 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
