the so-called "Anchorage Agreement/Accord" or "Anchorage Formula"
editI believe this article should have a brief section to address/debunk what Russia calls the "Anchorage Agreement/Accord" or "Anchorage Formula".
Here are some sources:
- CNN: Beware the 'Anchorage Formula': Why Russia has invented an agreement with the US to mask its disdain for peace talks
- The Kyiv Independent: Russia accuses US of backing out of alleged Ukraine territory surrender agreement
- Meduza: Russia keeps citing a 'spirit of Anchorage' from last summer's Trump–Putin summit, but that term exists only in Moscow's vocabulary
- HuffPost: Putin Aide Accuses Trump Of Breaching 'Anchorage Agreement' Over Ukraine
- RBC-Ukraine: 'Possible breakthrough': Kremlin links Ukraine talks to Anchorage agreements
- The Telegraph: No hope of peace without land, Russia tells Trump
It is noteworthy to mention that this so-called agreement is largely referenced in Russian media and by Russian politicians and negotiators only, but does not appear to be anything that the United States has ever officially embraced.
As the article is locked, I am simply leaving these sources here so that someone can add a paragraph or two on the topic. Thank you~! ~2026-32351-0 (talk) 04:58, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
- Correct. Rubio just denied it. ~2026-36818-83 (talk) 17:55, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
“Offered to end the war”: no
edit“During the meeting, Putin reportedly offered to end the war if Ukraine ceded all of Donbas to Russia, but Zelenskyy rejected territorial concessions.” The source cited does not say anything about “end the war.” This is wrong. ~2026-36818-83 (talk) 17:51, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
