Manish Pandey is a British-Indian filmmaker.
After starting out a career as a doctor, he changed his career by following his passion and writing a documentary about Senna. From there on, he wrote, made and produced several other documentaries and TV-series, combining this with his work as orthopedic surgeon in London’s Mount Vernon hospital.
Early life and career
editAfter studying Medicine in Cambridge, Pandey started a career in Orthopaedics.
After writing a few romantic comedies for Working Title Films, Pandey made his big break through with the documentary Senna (film) (2010).
In 2017, he wrote and produced Grand Prix Driver for Amazon Prime.
In 2020, his documentary Motorsport Heroes was released. In this movie, he pictured the lives of several Formula 1 drivers.
His passion for Formula 1 brought him in 2022 to the TV-series Lucky! about Formula 1 magnate Bernie Ecclestone.
A few years later, in 2025, a new documentary was released about Chris Harris spending a week with Ferrari legend Luca di Montezemelo.
