Comment: See Draft:FunkyFrogBait. Neither that draft nor this one makes any claim to notability, but if there are sources showing that FunkyFrogBait is notable (their own YouTube channel or anything else that they have published doesn't count towards notability), tht other draft can be edited and submitted. bonadea contributions talk 17:10, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Kal McRaven, known professionally as FunkyFrogBait or Funky, is an American YouTuber and TikToker. Becoming well known in 2020 for comedy skits, they[a] gained popularity on YouTube for their commentary videos.
McRaven began doing stand up comedy in 2024, doing shows in Dallas, Texas, and Los Angeles, California.
Career
editMcRaven created their TikTok account, @funkyfrogbait, in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic. While in a college production of The Oregon Trail, a classmate suggested that they upload videos onto TikTok, believing that McRaven would do well on the platform.[1]
They created a comedy series called Nursing Homes in 2077, referring to how Gen-Z may behave when they are moved into retirement facilities in 2077. The series gained popularity, and jumpstarted McRaven's fame on TikTok.
In 2021, McRaven started their YouTube channel, originally meant to be a gaming channel. They were unable to completely move their TikTok audience onto their channel, and struggled to find the right type of content for their channel. However, while scrolling on TikTok, they discovered the controversy of @felix_cipher, a TikTok user who believed that he was the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler. McRaven thought the content was absurd, and was surprised that no one was talking about it on Youtube. On Februrary 16th, 2023, McRaven uploaded a video titled This TikToker Thinks He is... WHO???!!!, their first commentary video.[2]
McRaven since reflected on their style of videos. Rather than focusing a video on one person and discussing them, their content focuses on a current theme or trend they have witnessed, and provide multiple examples of several people doing it and give commentary.[1]
Personal Life
editMcRaven is non-binary. They are almost completely self-taught in content creation, but recently has recruited an editor.[1]
McRaven worked as a software engineer at a telecommunications company after they graduated college. Their boss was supportive of their internet career when McRaven informed them that they were quitting.[2]
McRaven has supported numerous fundraisers, including Creators for Palestine, and Creators Against ICE.
