Air Schefferville was a Canadian passanger airline that existed from 1981 to 1999.It was based in Schefferville, Quebec.
History
editSince Schefferville has no roads to it, one of the best ways to access it was by airplane. Air Schefferville was created for Laurentian Air Services outfitting and passenger needs for the town which like various other towns was heavily reliant on one source of income that being ore mining. It acted as a feeder airline for Quebecair. It began operations in 1981 when it changed it's name to Air Schefferville. It ceased to exist it 1999 due to financial problems of which are not fully disclosed.
