Comment: The Times of India is not a reliable source and your own website is not an independent source. Theroadislong (talk) 20:11, 13 May 2026 (UTC)
Comment: Hello, my name is Alyssa. I would like to submit this draft about the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab for editors to consider. I am an employee of Dassault Systèmes, which the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is a part of. Specifically, it is a startup incubator program located in France, the United States, India, Germany, Brazil, China. Sources include The Jerusalem Post, Boston Business Journal, The Times of India, Digital Engineering Magazine, and Engineering.com. Please note that the two instances of the Dassault Systèmes website are for basic founder and location information which should be fine to verify basic statements of fact, per WP:PRIMARY. The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is a program from French software company Dassault Systèmes that provides technical equipment and software for startup companies and individuals. It functions as a startup incubator for early-state companies and as a digital fabrication laboratory (fab labs) for individuals such as students, researchers, and other makers.
There are six Labs with locations in Paris, France; Boston, Massachusetts; Pune, India; Munich, Germany; São José dos Campos, Brazil; and Shanghai, China, as of 2026.
Operations
editThe 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is a program from the French software company Dassault Systèmes.[1] Labs function as part startup incubators, part digital fabrication laboratory (fab labs).[2]
Frédéric Vacher is the founder and head of innovation of 3DEXPERIENCE Lab, as of 2026.[1][3] It had six Labs as of 2026, in Paris, France; Boston, Massachusetts; Pune, India; Munich, Germany; São José dos Campos, Brazil; and Shanghai, China.[1][4]
The facilities are designed for startup companies to develop their ideas or products in a two-year program.[5] The digital fabrication aspect of the Labs are open to entrepreneurs, students, researchers and other individuals.[6]
Each hub allows these participants to access a physical space with fabrication, virtual twin, and data labs. It also provides access to Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform, technical equipment and mentoring.[5] Participants of the Labs have used it for robotic additive manufacturing systems, a system for organ 3D printing for use in surgical prep, open-source drones, and virtual reality.[6]
History
editThe first 3DEXPERIENCE Lab opened at Dassault Systèmes's campus in Paris, France, in November 2015.[5] In May 2017, another Lab was opened at Dassault Systèmes's campus in Boston, which included a fab lab created with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.[6]
In September 2018, Dassault Systèmes launched another Lab in Pune, India. After the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Labs were used by participants to design ventilators and other medical equipment with Dassault Systèmes' 3DEXPERIENCE platform.[7] The fourth 3DEXPERIENCE Lab opened in Munich, Germany, in October 2022.[5]
