Pre-season and friendlies
editCeltic faced Queen's Park and Cork City in early July.[1][2] They then travelled to Portugal for a pre-season training camp, where they played Estrela da Amadora and Sporting CP.[3][4] On returning to Glasgow, the Scottish champions faced Newcastle United at Celtic Park.[5] Their pre-season schedule concluded with a mini tournament in Italy, where they played Ajax and Al-Ahli.[6]

| Note: Celtic fans invaded the pitch after the third goal in the 98th minute, causing confusion over the end of the match. Scottish Cup
editOn 30 November, Celtic were drawn to face Auchinleck Talbot in the fourth round of the 2025–26 Scottish Cup.[15] On 18 January 2026, Celtic were drawn to face Dundee at Celtic Park in the fifth round.[16] On 8 February, Celtic were drawn to face Rangers in the quarter-finals.[17] On 8 March, Celtic were drawn to face St Mirren in the semi-finals.[18] Celtic faced Dunfermline Athletic in the final on 23 May.

editOn 4 August, Celtic were drawn against the winners of the third qualifying round tie between Kairat and Slovan Bratislava, in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.[26] On 12 August, it was determined that Celtic would face Kairat.
UEFA Europa League
editCeltic entered the UEFA Europa League at the league phase.

editOn 29 August, the draw for the league phase was made. Celtic were drawn with Roma and Feyenoord (Pot 1), Braga and Red Star Belgrade (Pot 2), Sturm Graz and Midtjylland (Pot 3), and Utrecht and Bologna (Pot 4).[27]
