Note: Celtic fans invaded the pitch after the third goal in the 98th minute, causing confusion over the end of the match. While a statement from Hearts said that "nobody seemed to know" whether it had ended, the SPFL later confirmed that the referee had ended the match and had consulted with the Hearts coach prior to doing so.[9] During the pitch invasion, Hearts players and staff were alleged to have been physically and verbally assaulted; they were escorted out of Celtic Park and unable to fulfil media commitments on personnel safety grounds.[10][11][12][13] Police Scotland later confirmed that they had received no complaints from Hearts regarding the reported allegations.[14]
