Biased

edit

The article is promoting the university and is not being objective, e.g. 'word class', 'leading institution' are biased.

That comment's a bit patronising, isn't it? Why on Earth should he volunteer to do other people's work for them? 109.144.156.229 (talk) 09:43, 24 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Instead, I would like to request a series of factual corrections and updates for independent editors to review.

Done I have implemented the majority of the request, with a few changes to the statistics where the tone with slightly promotional Aloneinthewild (talk) 15:34, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much for implementing the majority of the requested updates, it is much appreciated.
I just wanted to follow up on a few remaining points for clarification:
Organisation and administration – course numbers
The reference to "over 800 courses" is still present in the article. I had suggested updating this to "over 700 courses" based on the following source:
https://www.hopinto.co.uk/provider-showcase/providers/university-of-hertfordshire/
Would it be possible to update this figure, or alternatively advise if the source is not considered suitable?
QAA and OIA section
Thank you for updating the QAA information. In relation to the OIA statistics, I completely understand the need to retain sourced material. The concern from my side is that the current text refers to older data such as 2013 figures, which may no longer reflect the current context.
Would it be possible to consider whether the older statistics still remain appropriate to include, in line with Wikipedia’s emphasis on up-to-date and verifiable information or if it would be best to remove?
Organisation and administration – Chancellor image
I also noticed that the image of Robert Gascoyne-Cecil is still labelled as Chancellor. As this role has since changed, would it be appropriate to either update the image to reflect the current Chancellor, or amend the caption to indicate that he is a former Chancellor?
Thanks again for your time and for reviewing these points. I am happy to provide any additional sources if helpful. Elmaz Cavusoglu (talk) 14:50, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
