Agreed. And I'd say that years of service are essential, not just desirable. Plus I'd like to see them in a sortable table, like this:

Jay E. Welch	1974	Served only six months, resigning due to an undisclosed illness
Jerold Ottley	1974-1999	Led the choir in nearly 1300 broadcasts of Music and the Spoken Word. Also led the choir in more than 30 commercial recordings and more than 20 major tours in addition to regular concerts in Salt Lake
Craig Jessop	1999-2008	Directed a number of musical groups outside of the Choir, led Choir to win a Special Recognition Award from the International Radio and Television Society Foundation and a National Medal of Arts

Sortable

My esteemed colleague, Grsz11, removed the sortable characteristic from the director table, saying it didn't do much. I contend that it does do much. The list is long and hard to read through. I think being able to sort by last names or dates (in either direction) is a desirable feature and I'd like to leave it in. If it interferes with anything, I'd like to hear about it. Sorting would be useful for many fields, and a long list. This is neither. The whole list can be seen in a single view, and there is only one sortable field (apart from the default - years). I really don't care either way though. Grsz¹¹ 18:00, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
