Why this image is larger than usual for Wikipedia
editThis poster is covered by copyright. Wikipedia follows very strict guidelines about using this kind of content. Use has to be as minimal as possible and not interfere with the commercial interests of the copyright holders. Wikipedia has a non-free image size calculator that recommends the size the file should be. I follow this as a rule but the poster for this movie uses a font for the actors' names that becomes illegible at that size. So I reduced the image to a smallest size at which the names can still be read. That's why it's larger than normal
When I uploaded it, I intended to add the non-free no reduce tag to the image file's page but I had also been searching out the movie's plot summaries and translating them to english. By the time I actually uploaded the image, I had hit a wall of exhaustion. I couldn't do any more, not even add the tag. This morning when I logged in another editor had added the tag to the file page requesting the image be reduced to the normal size. This editor was acting in complete good faith because I had been to tired to even leave an explanation of my intentions. However, since I hadn't completed what I had intended, I removed it and replaced the tag. I am convinced that if I had not hit that wall last night and completed what I intended, they never would have added the tag. If you disagree with what I have done, then please seek consensus on the issue and I will not argue or dispute the issue. Oona Wikiwalker (talk) 20:37, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
