The Roger Sherman Inn is a historic building and hotel located in New Canaan, Connecticut. Named after American politician and Founding Father Roger Sherman, the building was originally occupied as a residence for the Sherman family until the mid-1800s, when it was purchased by a financier.[1] The building then was converted into a hotel c. 1925. The hotel includes a bar, a restaurant that contains an outdoor area with its own private chef,[2][3] and a lounge for guests.[4] The hotel has 2 floors, both floors containing approximately 17 different guestrooms to reside in, all with a TV, telephone, kitchen area, and a bathroom.[5] The hotel has gone through many renovations since its construction, with the latest known renovation taking place in 2013 or 2019.[6] After about 10 years for sale,[7] the building was purchased by current owner Uanderson Benedetti since c. 2023.[8]
