The municipality lies at an altitude of 146 metres (479 ft)[2] and covers an area of 21.12 km2 (8.15 sq mi) (2025).[4]

FC Zohor are a football team that play at the Štadión FC Zohor on Požiarnická 395/6. The site previously held motorcycle speedway and was chosen to host a final round of the Czechoslovak Individual Speedway Championship from 1977 to 1980.[10]
