Requesting help creating a page for Draft: Pattern Inc.

edit

Hello! I've been quietly contributing to Wikipedia for several years, making small edits. However, I want to make a bigger contribution. I work at Draft:Pattern Inc., which has recently gone public. As someone who is a proud Utahn, born and raised, I think it's exciting to have another big tech company 'make it' in our state! While not everyone may agree on how exciting an IPO is, Pattern has received significant media coverage as it has gone public. While of course a good chunk of this is meaningless press releases and auto-generated stock market articles that don't qualify according to WP:NORG, there are several articles that appear to pass criteria and contribute to making Pattern notable.

I've gone ahead and marked myself with a COI on the talk page of the draft. I nuked some of the stuff the original author had (another employee) as it was biased, including a bunch of 'Top 50 rising companies' type citations. I added back in some new citations that seem to pass the bar for non-trivial, coming from either journalism research sites, national news sites, or regional news sites. There are more articles I can likely cite, but I'm taking the time to sift through the garbage of many 'trivial' sources that wouldn't qualify for Wikipedia.

I would greatly appreciate any help, feedback, tips, or recommendations for the creation process. I have not been asked or paid to create this page by my WP:BOSS, just doing it because I like Wikipedia. Thanks! 17jmumford (talk) 05:45, 13 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Utah gubernatorial election voting data by county

edit

Hello, WikiProject Utah. I recently compiled an exhaustive list of Wikipedia pages pertaining to United States gubernatorial elections which need tables detailing general election voting statistics by county. If anyone wants to help out with this task of adding stat tables, I'd gladly welcome the assistance. Here is the Utah list, and all 49 other states have their own likewise lists on that page. Thank you. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 22:14, 10 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia:Destubathon of the Americas

edit

Project members are invited to participate in the Destubathon of the Americas, a contest/editathon which will run from May 1 to May 31. The goal is to destub as many of our 475,000+ stubs for the Americas (from Alaska down to Chile) as possible. A good chance to have fun in expanding many of our old stale stubs and win up to $2680 in Amazon vouchers for expanding stub articles. Sign up in the Contestants/participants section on the contest page if interested. Even if not interested in prizes you are still warmly welcome to participate in it as an editathon! Hopefully we can achieve something significant in the month of May together! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 17:08, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

New article needed

edit

I'm not sure where on this page to put this article request, so I'll start here.

We should create a Wikipedia article for Utah's Military Installation Development Authority (MIDA), which is a Utah state entity created in 2007 to foster economic development, support military installations, and enhance defense-related infrastructure through public-private partnerships. It manages projects like Falcon Hill Aerospace Research Park, with authority to create project areas, issue tax-increment bonds, and act as a municipality. It is also planning to build a hyperscale data center in Box Elder County, Utah, which will be 2.73 times the size of Manhattan and use 2.5 times the power of the entire state of Utah. ~2026-20625-89 (talk) 17:48, 9 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
