Create a better user box for Adopted by - Request - June 7, 2025

hello i would love to know how to create a userbox for Wikipedia.

I was trying to use the Adopted by userbox and it is not formatted properly so a bit gibberish.

I would love to have a user box that states:

However, what I was trying to express is that: This user (aka me) I&I22 has been adopted by user GoldRomean. I tried to edit the userboxes and search for the correct one but have failed so far.

This is a request from Thai Wikipedia, in collaboration with @Geonuch:. After reviewing a number of existing userboxes and conceptual approaches, including:

• {{User anti-anon}}
• {{User forced-anon}}
• {{User MandatorySignin}}
• User:Loymdayddaud/Userboxes/Anonymous_Smith

we believe there is a need to create a new, dedicated userbox.

The concept for this userbox is to represent registered users who have chosen a unique, newly created username exclusively for use on Wikimedia projects—one that will not be reused or linked to any external identity. These users will not participate in offline events or disclose any personally identifiable information through their accounts, for security and privacy reasons.

Such users typically avoid using most userboxes, with a few exceptions—such as those indicating administrative roles or support for processes like DYK, GA, or FA.

Ideally, this userbox would be introduced during the account registration process and categorized accordingly, so that organizers of outreach or offline events can better recognize and respect this group of users. As more users adopt this approach, we hope that Wikimedia project communities will develop more inclusive practices to support them.

We believe this idea has relevance beyond Thailand, especially in jurisdictions where press freedom and personal security cannot be taken for granted.
