WikiProject Rubik's Cubes

edit

Currently new projects can't be proposed, but for when they can be: would anyone be interested in a WikiProject for Rubik's Cubes? It'd be a child project of this project, and possibly of WikiProject Games too since a lot of Rubik's cube articles are tagged as both. The scope would be anything that fits under Category:Rubik's Cube. Suntooooth, it/he (talk/contribs) 23:31, 23 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hey @Suntooooth! This reply is very late, but if you are still active, please count me in on a WikiProject Rubik's Cubes (or perhaps Speedcubing). A lot of the articles rely heavily on primary sources and there are several inherent flaws with cubing related articles. I also believe that recent WCA World Championships are notable enough to warrant separate articles. Rockfighterz M (talk) 23:09, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the reply! I actually now think that a task force would be better than a whole project, but since there hasn't been any interest apart from you it probably won't happen soon, since there just isn't the numbers. Suntooooth, it/he (talk | contribs) 23:23, 18 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Wooden model kits?

edit

Are there any articles about the kind of pre-cut wooden model kits for children where the pieces slot together, like the products sold widely under names like "woodcraft construction kits" and "slot together kits"? I've looked around the search and the top-level articles on models and there's nothing, even though a dozen Meccano competitors each have an article of their own. It's a coverage gap. 2A00:23C6:98A3:2A01:F885:39FF:FEA6:D685 (talk) 09:13, 12 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Source list

edit

I've been collecting potential sources for a source list for toys at User:Serilly/Toys sources since toys are often hard to find sources on. I think to could be helpful to have a source page similar to WP:VG/S in the future.

(Take my list with a grain of salt as it's solely based on my personal assessment for the toy-specific sources. It's meant to be a working page to hopefully draw from for a formal list later, so nothing's meant to be stuck in stone. I'm just jotting stuff down.) ⋆˚꩜。 serilly!
