"stylized as LEGO X", was vs is

edit

So two things that have been added to Lego articles recently. One, a lot of Lego theme articles have been getting this phrase added to the starts of those articles, eg "Lego Rock Raiders (stylized as LEGO Rock Raiders)". I wasn't sure if this was really necessary, as I feel like the main Lego article saying Lego is written officially as LEGO is enough, with the exception of themes also often written in all caps like Bionicle. Two, most discontinued theme articles have usually said "X was a Lego theme" but a few have been changed to "is a discontinued Lego theme". This change I do think sounds better, and makes sense since while the theme is no longer being produced the sets still exist. I wasn't sure what was preferred or closer to the guidelines though, this is just my thoughts. Ringtail Raider (talk) 00:47, 17 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

In addition to this I've seen some people italicising Lego theme names occasionally, and the notice at List of Lego themes says they should be but doesn't explain why/ Ringtail Raider (talk) 22:56, 14 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Missing articles

edit

Is it a good idea to have a page with missing articles? I started creating Draft:Wikipedia:WikiProject Lego/missing articles. It was not approved because I have to request it here for consensus to have this page. 95.98.65.177 (talk) 15:08, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi IP, no one has responded so I went ahead and moved it. S0091 (talk) 14:07, 5 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Italicized theme names

edit

So since no one answered my above question, I went ahead and removed the "stylized as" things. So my next question: lately I've seen people trying to italicize non-licensed theme names. Is there a reason for this? I have seen a few other toy franchises treated this way, like Transformers and My Little Pony, but it seems very inconsistent and I'm not sure the MOS says anything about this. LEGO Education Article Updates - Looking for Editors & Guidance

edit

Hey WikiProject Lego editors,

I work on the LEGO Education web team and want to update the very outdated LEGO Education article. I understand that we should not be making edits directly due to the conflict of interest, so wanted to see if there are any active editors that would be willing to help us make it happen.

Want to make sure we're doing this by the books with neutral and well-sourced edits, but since I'm new to the process I'd appreciate any guidance on the scope of what we can/should provide to help modernize/brand align the content without straying into overly promotional language, etc.

Please let me know if this isn't the right space for this ask and where the right place might be.
