Can anyone please make a map of the seat sharing of Left Front+ in 2026 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election following the given colour codes? If there are more parties, I will add their colour codes here.

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, but I noticed that the map for this Liverpool suburb is really unhelpful. Is it possible to get a more useful map? Blackballnz (talk) 03:21, 25 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Infobox for historical maps?

edit

How do we feel about infoboxes for historical maps (eg Egerton 2803 maps, Peter Martyr map). Ifl most articles historical documents/works have some form of infobox, except historical maps? Was there consensus against them or smth? (I search archives but only found stuff re location maps :/). - Asdfjrjjj (talk) 20:41, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Pings: @Rjjiii: - Reis map article looking pretty good btw :) Asdfjrjjj (talk) 20:41, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! For Piri Reis, I believe it was an image rather than infobox before I started working on it. For that map, I don't think an infobox would be that helpful. Since the map is not exactly square, all the measurements are slightly different, so the dimensions couldn't just be quickly laid out. Most of the inscriptions are in Turkish but the colophon is in Arabic, and some of the place names are from various Romance languages, so even the language of the map is not entirely clear. I feel like the Peter Martyr map actually has similar issues. Many of the infobox parameters are either followed by a conflicting claim or some kind of caveat, which I guess is what it comes to down for me personally. At the point that I would be trying to fit the caveats into the infobox, it would feel like that defeats the point of the infobox, and I should just be writing prose in the body text. Ahhh makes sense, sounds reasonable, prolly represents general mood here (I'm guessing), thank you! (though for future readers: i'll personally prolly continue using them, and prolly make a template for them too if needed/helps, but likely only for new/newly-destubbed articles :) - Asdfjrjjj (talk) 02:59, 22 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Map for Antarctic Plateau

edit

I wonder if someone could either make a map for Antarctic Plateau, or develop code for improved interactive maps in the polar regions. The map there is particularly useless. Melozone crissalis (talk) 23:40, 31 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
