WestNet Canada

Hi - wondering if anyone here could take a look at Draft:WestNet when you get a chance. It's about a small independent carrier out of Calgary that's been around since the late 90s, dual registered with CRTC and FCC. What caught my attention is they deployed one of the earliest public Super Wi-Fi networks back in 2011 (about a month after the Rice University one in Houston), and they run their city Wi-Fi on Verizon backbone with AS701 peering which is pretty unusual for a Canadian independent. The Super Wi-Fi bit is already referenced in the existing Super Wi-Fi article. Currently sitting in the AfC queue, any feedback appreciated. CorporationsIndex (talk) 23:14, 2 April 2026 (UTC)
