Is contributing to other WMF projects required for blocked but not banned users.
editIn the variations section, it says banned users must make contributions to other WMF projects. It does not say blocked users so is contributing to other WMF projects required for blocked but not banned users. Zxcv6666 (talk) 21:38, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
How long exactly?
editSome users are blocked for 182 days when six months is selected by the admin and some users are blocked for 184 days when six months is selected by the admin. If the standard offer is six months, how many days is it exactly? 1.129.110.121 (talk) 00:52, 20 October 2024 (UTC)
- 181 days and 183 days are also options when six months is selected on MediaWiki block duration. Jumbe (talk) 19:19, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
- It really does not matter. Remsense ‥ 论 19:46, 8 February 2025 (UTC)
Suggestion: Remove the standard offer?
editI'm one of the few who thinks it's unnecessary. I get it users may have to wait simply reflect on their actions, but I think this is too strict of a essay. Personally, my suggestion is to remove this, so users wouldn't have to wait 6 months. Or at the very least, you can simply decrease the wait time.

Oppose
edit- Oppose because it already gives the option of reducing or increasing the amount of time based on the circumstances, plus even if this little local consensus gained any traction the whole of the greater community that relies on this won't have any consensus for getting rid of it. - Oppose - the six month minimum rehabilitation is enough. Ahri Boy (talk) 01:22, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
Neutral
editPossible punishment optimisation (nsw)
editIf you get banned during march, it will go to April and July school holidays which is 4 weeks no Wikipedia, if you get banned during September, it will go to march with the October school holiday being 2 weeks and the long Christmas school holiday being 6 weeks. So I may suggest that the offer to decrease for the banned during march because sometimes, those students may vandalise during march to optimise their offer. 23.162.200.141 (talk) 22:25, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
