Herbert A. Parkyn on hold

edit

I've placed the c/e request for the above article on hold because the article is excessively detailed and verbose right now, and much of its text will need summarizing or removing to make it accessible to most readers. This would quickly negate the effects of a full copy-edit. I invite the requested to discuss here; courtesy-pinging @Cbl62:. The request is here (diff). Also pinged DJ71park; thanks, Baffle. All the best, Miniapolis 14:00, 24 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
I also note the article is undergoing heavy editing at the moment, which is another good reason a c/e shouldn't occur right now. Let's see where we are in a couple of weeks. Cheers, 🅑🅰🅖🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 22:43, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
Dj71park and I have since done some significant cleanup work on the article. I think I'm nearly ready to remove my hold notice. 🅑🅰🅖🅴🅻🅵🅵🅐🅱 20:08, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I've struck my hold notice; I think the article is now better organised and a c/e would be stickier now. That doesn't address the other issues of AI-written content, excessive citations and too many images, though some work to fix those issues has occurred. Ben Roberts-Smith on hold

edit

I've placed the request for the above article on hold. The subject is a high-profile Australian (correction: former) soldier who has recently been in the news in that country. Therefore, the article has been actively edited in the last few days, making it unstable. I suggest waiting a week or so for it to settle down. Courtesy-pinging the requester, @TarnishedPath:. @Baffle gab1978, I have no issue with that. A week ought to do it. TarnishedPathtalk 06:01, 8 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Baffle gab1978 editing of the artice has slowed. TarnishedPathtalk 03:15, 19 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Tremors (1990 film) & 28 Weeks Later

edit

It seems that Nineteen Ninety-Four guy had recently been indef'd. Shall we decline his requests for Tremors (1990 film) and 28 Weeks Later, especially since they have both been promoted to GA status when they were requested for the sake of GAN? Mox Eden (talk) 06:09, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Probably. All the best, Miniapolis 22:39, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Striking names

edit

Just to be clear, we can strike a copyeditor's name from a request if they were blocked before they actually worked on the request, right? Mox Eden (talk) 00:29, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Yes, and I'd also note that the request is available again. In solidarity, Miniapolis 01:58, 6 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
