As part of the project's New Year's Resolutions, there is an ongoing effort to decrease the number of stubs to 10%. As of October 25, we are at 11.79%, with 520 articles currently in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if members would expand, source and improve stub articles, and a list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers and tag teams that should be fairly easy to improve.
Based on the members list, there are currently 234 members participating in WikiProject Professional wrestling.

This section is intended to warn users about potential targets of vandalism and speculation: professional wrestling events from major promotions for the months of October and November.

Recent Professional Wrestling News

On the October 12 episode of Raw, Jillian Hall won the WWE Divas Championship by defeating Mickie James, but lost the championship to Melina immediately afterwards.
"Captain" Lou Albano died at the age of 76 on October 14.
On October 15 it was announced that WWE had signed Barri Griffiths, a Welsh professional wrestler and former Gladiator, to a developmental contract.
On October 16, Shane McMahon announced that he was retiring from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), effective as of January 1, 2010.
At Bound for Glory on October 18:
- Eric Young won the TNA Legends Championship by defeating the defending champion Kevin Nash and Hernandez in a three way match.
- Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) won the IWGP Tag Team Championship in a four way Full Metal Mayhem match. In the same match, The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) won the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
- Daffney suffered a broken arm after taking a bump during the match between Mick Foley and Abyss.
On October 20, it was reported that Nigel McGuinness had signed with TNA. He made his debut on the October 22 episode of Impact! as "Desmond Wolfe".
Chris Sabin suffered a stinger at the Impact! taping on October 21.
On October 23, it was reported that Lance Cade had re-signed with WWE.

Please remember that fair use images and media can be only be used if no free equivalent is available or could be created. Fair use images uploaded when a free equivalent exists will be deleted.
Trivia sections are discouraged in wikipedia articles. Information from such sections, if notable, should be merged into the main body of the article.
Avoid adding statements that will date quickly, for example "soon" and "now".
When adding headers to articles, do not add wikilinks to them and only capitalize the first letter of the first word and any proper nouns.
