Description

Celebrate World Science Day for Peace and Development by making women scientists more discoverable online! Join us for a Wikipedia edit-a-thon focusing on women featured by the Lost Women of Science. An introduction to Wikipedia editing will be led by Wikimedia DC. We will shine a light on the extraordinary contributions of women who changed history but never received the full credit they deserved.
Wikipedia is a vital link within the network of online information. Women with articles in Wikipedia are easier to find. We’ll boost the discoverability of these women by editing articles in Wikipedia. Help us share more stories of women doing science!

Event Schedule:

10 am – 10:30 am: Introduction to Discoverability Lab & Lost Women of Science
10:30 am – 11:15 am: Introduction to Wikipedia Editing with Wikimedia DC
