Another list on the attempt to create a high quality, standardized list of municipalities for jurisdictions around the world. This is the 63rd (!!!!) such list and previous suggestions have been already incorporated by Alavense and myself so this nomination should go rather smoothly. As always, we are always open and responsive to any suggestions we will then apply to future nominations. Thank you! Mattximus (talk) 15:26, 2 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

edit- File:Seville in Spain.svg - CC BY-SA 3.0 MOS:ALTMAP, change alt to "Seville is a landlocked province in southern Spain"
- File:Karte Gemeinden und Gerichtsbezirke Provinz Sevilla 2022.png - CC BY-SA 3.0 alt should be changed to something about the concentration of municipalities. ie. municipalities are most concentrated in the southeast and least concentrated in the north

Support on images and prose (it is very good after so many flc nominations of similar lists), please consider reviewing Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of World Heritage Sites in Arab States/archive1 orWikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of Intangible Cultural Heritage elements in Palestine/archive1

edit- Consider using Template:Lang for the Spanish-language phrases and words in the lead ("Ley 7/1985, de 2 de abril, Reguladora de las Bases del Régimen Local", "ayuntamiento" x2, "tenientes de alcalde", "concejales", "pleno", "ayuntamientos").
- Sure, I added the template to all the places you suggested. Mattximus (talk) 23:49, 7 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Not sure whether redlinks are allowed in the refs but it's probably not a problem.
- Support - good job on taking so many of these to FL. Shwabb1 ⟨taco⟩ 01:23, 8 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Comments from Bgsu98 (11/27/25)
editUser:Mattximus: I would strongly recommend switching the two census columns on the table. It reads very awkwardly to go from the most recent census, to the previous census, and then a Plus of Minus that is backwards from what the two numbers would imply. For example, in the first row, you go from 2,064 to 2,141, which is an increase, and then show a change of −3.6%. But it's not an increase; it's a decrease, because the columns are backwards.
I'll come back tomorrow to do the source review for you. Bgsu98 (Talk) 03:40, 28 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- Thanks for the review, there is logic to the way it's set up. The first column is the important one (the most up to date census), and the second one (the old population from last census) is only there for comparison purposes, it's not as significant since it is out of date. It's included just to show trends in growth. The logic is to put the most important number first, and the referential one after. Does this make sense? Mattximus (talk) 22:00, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
- It can also be argued that a more logical setup would be chronological. As it is, the math looks backward because you're adding or subtracting from the first column instead of the second. Bgsu98 (Talk) 22:34, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Source review (11/29/25)
editI have spot-checked the following sources:
- No. 1 – Checks out.
- No. 5 – My Spanish was sufficient to verify this source.
- No. 9 – Ditto.
- No. 13 – Ditto.
- No. 19 – Checks out.
- No. 19 (as used on the table) – Checks out.
User:Mattximus: Source review passed. I still urge you to reverse the two columns as mentioned above. Bgsu98 (Talk) 18:51, 29 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
