Open mapping sources list its elevation at about 99 m and show surrounding farm and plantation landscapes typical of Margibi County.[2] The broader area has a tropical monsoon (Am) climate.[3]

Political representation
editAt the national level, Weala is represented in the House of Representatives by Clarence G. Gahr, who serves as the lawmaker for Electoral District No. 5.[6] Margibi County’s representation in the Senate comprises Emmanuel J. Nuquay of the People’s Unification Party and Nathaniel F. editAgriculture, local trade, and agro-industry are significant. In 2025 the Ministry of Agriculture reported preparations in Weala for a cassava-starch-processing factory, with equipment shipped and land preparation under way as part of efforts to improve market access for cassava farmers.[9] Weala also hosts facilities of the Salala Rubber Corporation (under Jeety Rubber); 2025 reports describe worker-housing upgrades and related investments based in Weala.[10]
Infrastructure and services
editWeala sits on the Monrovia–Kakata–Gbarnga highway system served by minibuses and motorcycle taxis (pen-pen); mapping sources show a local market and settlement core adjacent to the trunk road.[2] In 2023, Jeety Rubber provided deep-bore submersible pumps to improve access to safe water for residents in and around Weala as part of corporate-social-responsibility programs.[11]
Demographics
editUp-to-date population figures specific to Weala are not published in open sources. Local media characterize Weala as a fast-growing rural-urban community within Margibi’s Fifth Electoral District.[12]
