History
editPlans for a new FM station officially arose in 2022, with a construction permit submitted to the FCC on November 9, 2021. [3] The station was built over the span of two years, and on September 26, 2024, WMPC-FM filed for its broadcast license, it was granted by October 28, 2024, and the station took to the airwaves soon after.[4]
88.5 FM focuses on modern worship music and has teaching programs for a younger audience, while WMPC 1230 AM airs more traditional preachers and Christian oriented talk programs, and older Christian music and hymns, more favored by an older audience.
