Citing sources

edit

Hi, I'm your randomly assigned mentor.

Unfortunately all of your edits have been undone. In order to contribute to Wikipedia, you have to cite your sources, even if you are 100% accurate. See Wikipedia:Citing sources or ask me for help here. Fuddle (talk) 23:35, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

You can add external links within the {{cite}} template. There's a lot to read in the link above, so you can just follow examples in the existing article. You'll most likely be citing websites, so look at Template:Cite web
You can also practice in your sandbox, the link is at the top of the page, center-right. Fuddle (talk)
The citation looks good. Someone may come along and reformat things (I would put it all in one paragraph without bold text, but that's just me).
Keep going. I still get edits reverted and I've been doing this for 10+ years. Don't get discouraged. Live and learn, follow patterns, keep going. Fuddle (talk) 03:26, 25 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
