Thank You

edit

Thank you for all your work on the Average human height by country. I appreciate you going through each source one by one, determining which are credible and which are not and removing non-credible sources. This has made the page much more scientific and has greatly helped with my own efforts on the page as well. I also appreciate you standing up to the sock puppets and offering good counter arguments back, I have learned much by reading these comments alone. You have all my esteem as well. Thank you. Exchange between users to improve a lacking page

I cited Martin because you might be interested also in his hair colours and eye colours scales... --Walther16 (talk) 18:54, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the source, I also share a general interest in anthropology, so it is interesting reading the various sources you mention on it. Thank you as well for the introduction to Rudolf Martin, I find the link very interesting in regard to the height scales, and I'll look into his scales for hair and eye color.
Additionally, I don't believe the socks actually believe any of the nonsense they are saying. I guess it appears they just like to spread chaos.
I also agree that the socks will be back, I counted the number of socks that have been banned so far, and we are currently at 15 accounts.
Hopefully there is enough evidence to have the account LouisBStevenson banned, as I believe it is very obvious that this is a sock given some of the evidence I presented on the page.
I also asked Izno to remove the sock account edits from the talk page, but I have not heard back yet on this. In the meantime I have deleted all sock comments that did not have a reply to them, and struck out the comments that did have a reply.(like this) This appears to be the general policy of Wikipedia in dealing with sock puppets on talk pages. I give you permission to delete this thread since you requested. I will also delete the one from my talk page as well. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 02:44, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
I have deleted the thread on my talk page. I decided to delete the entire thread because the first comment on it also mentioned this.
The thread did offer value towards the end, where you had sent me the links, but since this was only a part of that thread, I figured we could start a new thread for that as well, and I could put the links back in the new thread.
You are a very good editor and I apologize for the treatment you have gotten on English wikipedia. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 16:53, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you very much, dear @Quantum Mechanical Engineer, I will delete too all the references to that topic. I appreciated your kind words and let me say that I think you are of course a very good editor too --Walther16 (talk) 08:22, 5 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sock puppet

edit

For your information, I believe I have obtained enough evidence that LouisBStevenson is also a sock puppet account as we assumed, and I have reported that account as well. The user used phrasing almost identical to confirmed sock puppets and always concurred with them, or they concurred with him. This one is at the bottom of the page Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/PenultimateStride Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 03:11, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Removing socks from talk page

edit

I know you mentioned removing the sock replies and comments from the talk page.

I have found a way to do this. I am archiving any threads that were started by banned sock puppet accounts first and foremost.

Next, we can each delete our own replies to the sock puppet comments we want deleted, as long as no one has replied to us, as this does not go against Wikipedia. Sock puppet replies are able to be deleted in their entirety, rather than just striking them out, if there are no replies underneath. I believe it was just you and me and the socks, so if we remove our replies one by one we can then remove all traces of the sock puppets on that page for now. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 14:44, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Quantum Mechanical Engineer very good idea, I will help you in this good proposal --Walther16 (talk) 15:44, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. Would you mind deleting your replies to user:Larnerpt first? Once these are gone I would be able to delete his comments altogether from the page, which I believe are the most obnoxious of the socks so far. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 16:01, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also notify me if you remove your replies to any users on the talk page(you just have to edit and manually delete your reply), as then I will go back and remove the sock puppet replies(you could as well if you want, as long as there are no replies left to the sock).
Wikipedia allows sock puppet comments to be removed in their entirety only as long as there are no replies to that comment, and users are not allowed to remove other users replies themselves(ie. I cannot remove yours), as it goes against wikipedias terms. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 18:30, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks @Quantum Mechanical Engineer for your suggestions: I know that is not possible to remove other users comments (apart s or del tag) so I did as you proposed: I eliminated all my answers to the Socks --Walther16 (talk) 19:50, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you kindly! I will get to work on removing some of the sock posts completely off the talk page. Quantum Mechanical Engineer (talk) 20:08, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Quantum Mechanical Engineer great! --Walther16 (talk) 20:13, 17 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I had to add your replies back to the sock account Prime1996. Unfortunately, since LouisBStevenson also replied to that account, and since his account has not been banned as a sock puppet, I would not be able to delete those edits outright. However I did delete the edits of Larnerpt, which were the worst of the socks so far. If LouisBStevenson ever gets banned, then the edits would all be able to be deleted. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Average human height by country, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ainu was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
