I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Viloma. Thank you for your work on Ralf Riedel. Another editor, Ldm1954, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

the only verification of his career, awards and editorial is his own CV. Unless other sources are included this needs to be moved back to draft. While he is notable, the current version fails sourcing requirements.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ldm1954}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Information re: LLM-assisted editing

edit

Information icon Hello, I'm Preimage. Some of the edits that you made when drafting Ralf Riedel seemed to be partially based on text generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is often insufficiently reliable for an encyclopedia, as it may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. In this particular case, it seems to have generated a fictitious claim about Riedel being editor-in-chief of Journal of the American Ceramic Society, which I've just fixed. I've tagged the article for LLM cleanup, as it's unclear to me whether this was the only error. If you think a mistake was made, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Preimage (talk) 11:44, 16 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

To ensure you're fully informed, I should also mention it has recently been proposed that we prohibit the use of LLMs to generate or rewrite article content, save for a handful of exceptions as listed in Wikipedia:Writing articles with large language models/March 2026 proposal. Per https://the-decoder.com/german-wikipedia-bans-ai-generated-content-while-other-language-editions-take-a-softer-approach, the German-language version of Wikipedia passed a similar policy (prohibiting LLM use) in February 2026.
