Question from EmmyyA on Ogori/Magongo (20:12, 19 May 2026)

edit

Hello Wikipedia team, in addition to the info already published on this article I am humbly making a request for the history of past rulers of the Ogori community and their respective dates to be added to this article. I have this information with me and I would appreciate a positive feedback concerning it. Thanks --EmmyyA (talk) 20:12, 19 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@EmmyyA: Welcome to Wikipedia! You've contacted me, an individual volunteer editor who is happy to help out. Before we can add that info to the Wikipedia article, it would need to have a reliable and verifiable source. What source do you have which contains this info? Thanks for your response. Source : EKARABOME ROYAL DYNASTY ( OGORI RULING HOUSE) EmmyyA (talk) 08:16, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@EmmyyA: Hi! Is this a book, article, or what kind of source is it? And is it something available digitally, physically, or otherwise? Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 20:22, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hi, it's from the ruling house of the Ogori community, as mentioned in my last response. It has not been well documented digitally, but it is physically and well-known within the community and its environs. It's a move to put the information online as originally intended to make interested individuals aware of the history of past rulers in the community and since Wikipedia already has an article on it, it was thoughtful to make a request that this information of past rulers be added to the article. @EmmyyA: I really like the idea of taking information that hasn't been well-documented digitally and adding it to the internet, but unfortunately Wikipedia isn't a place where information like this can be published for the first time. As an encyclopedia (a tertiary source) we can only work from verifiable, already-published information. I'm sure there are other websites or organizations which are better suited to help get this history published, after which it may be able to be reflected on the Wikipedia article. Please don’t re-add references without checking them properly. Several of those sources are already expired/dead, and many of the remaining ones appear to be media PR or routine coverage sources, which may not be considered strong independent references on Wikipedia. ~2026-30724-66 (talk) 17:38, 23 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Dancewithliz (12:47, 24 May 2026)

edit

Hello, Rae! Thank you so much for reaching out. I have begun drafting an article for musician Benny Trokan. I have many independent, reliable sources to cite. But I'm not able to draft the article all in one sitting. I fervently hope that my work will be saved in the browser window linked below. Can you please let me know either way? Thank you! https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?action=edit&create=Create+new+article+draft&editintro=Template%3AAfC+draft+editintro&preload=Template%3AAfc+preload%2Fdraft&summary=--+Draft+creation+using+the+%5B%5BWP%3AArticle+wizard%5D%5D+--&title=Draft%3ABenny+Trokan --Dancewithliz (talk) 12:47, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Dancewithliz, hello! Unfortunately it isn't saved in the url. There's no need to draft the entire article at once, it's perfectly okay to have an unfinished draft. The "publish page" button only saves it as a draft, and is not itself submitting the draft for review. Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 16:07, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
OK wonderful! Good to know that hitting "Publish" just saves the draft and does not submit it without further action. That was exactly what I needed to know. Thank you! Dancewithliz (talk) 17:17, 24 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question regarding Draft: Temporal Bias

edit

Hello! I have seen your comment regarding Draft:Temporal bias. I have added 2 sources which are peer reviewed to diversify your views as per your comment. However, I have not fully integrated those into the article or added new text, which may or may not be necessary. May you please review/make changes to the draft? I am thankful for any help. ~2026-31206-97 (talk) 15:56, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@~2026-31206-97: Thanks for adding those sources! I'm not sure if I'll have the time to put time into this article at the moment, but I do think it is probably notable and could have an article. I would also recommend creating an account – your edits will be tracked in one place, collaboration with other editors is easier, and you can save preferences and use user scripts. Question from Cloud-forestt (16:06, 29 May 2026)

edit

How do I cite things properly? I'm doing my best out here lol. Very new to Wikipedia :)

Thank you!

-- Cloud --Cloud-forestt (talk) 16:06, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Cloud-forestt: Welcome to Wikipedia!!! If you're editing in the visual editor (which I recommend), you can find a "Cite" button in the toolbar. With most news articles/academic papers/books you can simply paste in the URL/DOI/ISBN and have it automatically generate a citation. Otherwise, there are options to manually fill out citations. For the relevant guideline, check out Wikipedia:Citing sources. Main thing to note is that every claim on Wikipedia should be accompanied by a source which is verifiable, reliable, and optimally independent. Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 02:01, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

hello, man i want to make an page of Tadc AU --Enzo pepsi (talk) 21:18, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Enzo pepsi There is an article for TADC; The Amazing Digital Circus. But creating a page for a TADC AU is probably out of the question, as we only create pages for subjects that are independently notable. Does the AU you're thinking of have coverage in reliable sources? CaptainEek Edits Ho Cap'n! 02:49, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Question from Naykay3 on User:Naykay3/sandbox (23:06, 29 May 2026)

edit

Hello, how can I know when my proposed article will be reviewed? I'm not even certain if I've submitted it for review? I've made this as a favor and I believe it's decent enough but I'm starting to fear I've over-promised since I don't have an update yet. Excuse my late night rambling and have a nice day --Naykay3 (talk) 23:06, 29 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

@Naykay3: Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia :). You have not submitted it for review, but I would recommend against doing so. Most of the content is unsourced, and two of the three sources are not independent of the subject. In order for a topic to qualify for an article on Wikipedia (which we call notability), the topic must have significant coverage in reliable sources which are independent of the topic. On a search, I've been unable to find much in the way of independent/reliable sourcing, and as a result I don't think this topic is notable. Is there maybe another topic you'd be interested in writing about? Best, Vermont (🐿️🏳️‍🌈) 02:38, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello, I'm working with the person for whom this article is about, she's an independent author who hasn't had many interviews or articles about her so she will be in charge of her own wiki page when it's uploaded. I'm not sure how I can cite that. Thank you! Naykay3 (talk) 14:14, 30 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Naykay3: ok, thanks for the context. First off, check out our conflict of interest guideline if you haven't already; content is best written by people who are not personally invested in the topic. Re: hasn't had many articles about her, that is prohibitive of having a Wikipedia entry. Being an encyclopedia, Wikipedia articles are based on published independent sources. If those sources do not exist, there cannot be a Wikipedia article. Given the current lack of sourcing, I don't think there's a path towards your draft becoming an article.
