Disambiguation link notification for March 2
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spin-off (media), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page JAG. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
Invalid markup
editRecently, you made a number of reverts at The Bachelor (American TV series). Note that every one of these reversions was of an edit that was fixing a specific markup issue. Make sure you understand these before making similar edits.
- Changing "non-contestant" back to "woman" => this change is ambiguous. "non-contestant" is more specific in that the person is not a contestant. Using "woman" does not specify whether it is or is not a contestant.
- Adding invalid infobox parameters - the revert to return certain infobox parameters, such as "winner" and "loser" introduces parameters that do not exist in {{Infobox television}}. You can't just implement parameters you "think" should be there - they have to actually be valid parameters (which is why those were removed previously). Please review the template docs so you know what the valid parameters are and how they are used.
- Citation bot fixed a citation on the page which you reverted. This bot fixes specific citation elements that the community has already determined through consensus to be preferred, such as considering Entertainment Weekly to be a magazine, not a web site.
- Citation bot also fixed curly quotes, which you reverted (‘Bachelor’ vs 'Bachelor'). We do not use curly quotes. See MOS:CURLY.
If you do not understand these, feel free to ask questions, but these are all standard parts of our WP:MOS. ButlerBlog (talk) 11:32, 26 April 2023 (UTC)

please use edit summaries
edit
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! DoctorMatt (talk) 21:57, 16 January 2024 (UTC)

Hello Ugggsw. I noticed that you continue to edit without using any edit summary at all despite a prior request to do so in January 2024. Please always fill in the summary field. Please don't change quoted text
editHello, thanks for your edits, but please don't change quoted text to conform with your idea of good grammar, as you did at Clarke Peters, where you changed "more angry" to "angrier" despite the source containing the former term. I agree with everyone above that you should use edit summaries as well. Graham87 (talk) 15:07, 1 February 2025 (UTC)

editHello, I see on your talk page that you have had a multitude of requests to add edit summaries (WP:ES) to your edits. This is considered a basic courtesy to make life easier for other editors, and it's surprising that someone with as many edits as you continues not to heed this very basic Wikipedia principle or the messages requesting your attention to it. I will join the others in asking you once again to review the above link and summarize your work going forward. Rift (talk) 03:04, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Raymond Cruz did not have an edit summary. Collaboration among editors is fundamental to Wikipedia, and every edit should be explained by a clear edit summary, or by discussion on the talk page. Please use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit and/or to describe what it changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.
The edit summary field looks like this:
or in the visual editor:
Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. When logged in to your Wikipedia account, you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing →
Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button.
Thanks! Rift (talk) 05:05, 3 September 2025 (UTC)

Commas
editPlease stop introducing commas where they are not needed on the Wodehouse article. These are not necessary in BrEng and the article is consistent in not using them. As a Featured Article it's been heavily reviewed and accepted, and changing punctuation on a personal whim is not a constructive step. Please stop. - SchroCat (talk) 06:25, 20 September 2025 (UTC)

Please do not change the name of files in articles as you did to Carmine Coppola. It breaks the link to the file. I have corrected the mistake. In the future, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, you are welcome to ask on my talk page, or to post at the help desk for assistance. Thank you. Katniss May the odds be ever in your favor ♥ 14:27, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- On ths topic of preview button and edit summaries, please label your edit summaries appropriately. The edit here (and the other eight labelled "Add quotation marks") included no such quotation marks, and instead incorrectly introduced anchors into the text. I have restored these accordingly. -- Alex_21 TALK 23:13, 20 January 2026 (UTC)

hello Ugggsw, please use accurate edit summaries and avoid removing wikilinks without proper explanations as you did in Visual_effects. Continuing to do so may be considered disruptive editing.
You have also made many changes replacing "U.S." with "American" or "America" which is ambiguous, and labeled the edits as "removed parenthesis." These edits have been tagged as vandalism.
RocketDwiki (talk) 05:14, 13 February 2026 (UTC)
Please stop substituting "American" for "US". American is ambiguous. Please see Manual of Style for more information. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Paradise_(disambiguation), you may be blocked from editing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RocketDwiki (talk • contribs) 03:54, 14 February 2026 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please review MOS:VAR and familiarize yourself with the standardly accepted wiki source code and formatting. You have already been reverted before, so please do not ignore said reverts and the reasons for them. Continued changes against standard formatting will be disruptive. — Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 04:24, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
- @Ugggsw: Additionally, please review WP:NOTBROKEN for why you should not be changing redirects to direct section links. Saying it is not needed is not a sufficient rationale, and these links do not need to be "fixed", per that policy. Thank you. — Trailblazer101🔥 (discuss · contribs) 04:28, 24 June 2026 (UTC)
