Replaceable non-free use File:Iran Air Flight 655.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Iran Air Flight 655.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of non-free use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of non-free use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable non-free use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable non-free use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file's talk page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification, per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 12:40, 26 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Information icon Hi Tô Ngọc Khang! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of EgyptAir Flight 804 several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:EgyptAir Flight 804, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Aircraft image changes

edit

Please only try to change images particularly in the info box if there is a clear benefit in doing so. Otherwise such edits tend towards being disruptive. Please also say why you think an image is preferable and back it up with facts. In your latest summary you say this livery is closer to the accident aircraft but give no reason why anyone should believe you. There are many reasons one image is better than another. In the latest case neither image is particularly good. But an aircraft hidden behind the wing of another is clearly problematic. Maungapohatu (talk) 05:49, 8 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

June 2025

edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Air India Flight 182. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. "Ghost of Dan Gurney" (hihi) 13:00, 20 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

You have made 4 reverts of the same edit on the same page; even if these edits haven't occurred in a span of 24 hours, you can still be reported for your behavior, especially as you have indicated in your edit summaries that you don't intend to go to the talk page. Isn't this a good replacement image for the Air India 182 article?

edit

I know its pending permission, but you have already swapped the images on American Airlines Flight 965 and Tam Airlines Flight 3054 despite the fact the aircraft images are pending permission. I think this 1984 image is good as it shows the livery well and it has nothing in its background. I think the black radome was on the aircraft by the time this photo was taken but is out of view. Zaptain United (talk) 22:03, 24 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Well ! Looks like who replaced it, not me. I will revert it and wait until the permission was added. Tô Ngọc Khang (talk) 01:38, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

Your submission at Articles for creation: USAir Flight 499 (July 9)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Aviationwikiflight was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of events). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The four sources cited in the article consist of two databases, the FAA's aircraft registry, and the final report, none of which are secondary or notability-establishing.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Could you help me find the registration number for Pan Am Flight 841?

Since you're from Vietnam, I was wondering if you help any source on the registration number for this hijacking. This hijacking in Vietnam and so far, I have not succeeded in finding any source on the registration number. I was wondering if you could search through Vietnamese newspapers that reported on the hijacking and see if they mention the registration number. I found some images of the aircraft in a YouTube video showing Vietnamese newspaper, but none show the registration number. You don't have to do this, but I want to see if you could find any sources from Vietnam on the registration number. Thank you and hope you reply!

Do you think Air Astana 1388 and Arrow Air Charter are the same account and are sockpuppeting?

edit

They seem to follow the same patterns and upload images from the Tomorrow Ellsworth Flickr account. I see that you have communicated with them in the past and I want to know what you think about this. I won't do a sockpuppet investigation because I want to do editing on Wikipedia instead of some investigation, but I want to see what you think. You were a great inspiration for me

edit

I saw all the image changes in the past and I admired how you didn't give up so easily in the face of editors who don't like change. If I had been around back when you were facing this opposition, then I would have defended you. Thanks for uploading many useful images and thanks for uploading the recent Bob Garrand photos that I requested. If you want any more of his photos, just comment on his most recent uploaded image. Anyway, goodbye. Zaptain United (talk) 02:46, 30 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
