Warning users

edit

Hi, thanks for your anti-vandalism edits. You should warn users when they make a vandalism edit. You can check out WP:WARN for some of the warning templates used, or you can use Twinkle, which will automatically do it for you. —*Fehufangą (✉ Talk · ✎ Contribs) 13:20, 17 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Month section titles

edit

Hey there,

When you're adding a new warning notice as you did at User talk:2409:40D0:9:A67E:8000:0:0:0 please put it under the same section as any more warns from that month. This makes it a lot easier for editors using software like RedWarn et al. Thanks, CR (how's my driving? call 0865 88318) 11:28, 19 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Page protection on Yuki Tsunoda

edit

I've applied two days of semi protection which should allow you to get the page back in manageable condition. Reapply for longer protection periods if this persists. Because we have no previous protection history, I'm unwilling to provide a custom protection period at the time. Thanks for your many fine contributions to English Wikipedia. Thank you! I am glad that protection was applied, because there was complete chaos. The Seal F1 (talk) 09:21, 26 March 2025 (UTC)Reply

Rollback granted

edit

Hi The Seal F1. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Callanecc (talkcontribslogs) 00:58, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much! The Seal F1 (talk) 06:46, 21 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Pending changes reviewer granted

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.

Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Unfair Action on Page - Vivek Oberoi

edit

Hello, appreciate you looking into this. I did write that the mentioned sources and reference links are either non existent, unsourced or of extreme poor quality, all of them have no mention of the subject "Vivek Oberoi", and some of the links don't even open up since they have been removed from source itself due to being factually and legally incorrect. These changes have been recent and its pure vandalisation, you can go through the edit history and verify the same yourself. Please have the page fixed accordingly. Eliminar1993 (talk) 08:26, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Unfortunately, you'll have to find someone else. I really have no idea about the person that article is about. I reverted your edits because you removed several sources, and I saw that another editor had already reverted your edits for the same reason. I think you can start a discussion on the talk page of that article so that editors who understand the topic can assess the situation. Thank you. The Seal F1 (talk) 11:51, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Eliminar1993: Also, here you stated you closely related to a subject of the article. Could you please clarify this? The Seal F1 (talk) 11:55, 28 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

AN/I

edit

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. This is to do with conduct by user Dicklyon in moving - I am informing you as you were involved in the move discussion at 1925 Tri-State tornado or 2021 Tri-State tornado. Thank you. How was my current event not necessary?

edit

How? shane (talk) 15:29, 6 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

A 5% risk is not that big. I believe that we usually only publish information about tornado risk if it is moderate (red, 4/5) risk or high (purple, 5/5) risk. Or At least an enhanced (orange, 3/5) risk. If we were to publish information about every 5% tornado risk, it would happen almost every day in May. Anti-vandal thank you

Hey there, thanks for your help reverting the edits by Rainbow Star just before now, you are the sort of people that make wikipedia a trustworthy and readable encyclopedia.
