Crescent College article (resolved)

edit

Hi. With thanks for replacing the "humphrysfamilytree.com" reference with sources from the Limerick Leader, based on the accompanying edit summary ("Your assumptions are wrong [..] I am not Mark Humphrys"), I would simply note that:

  • WP:SELFPUB deals with references that are published (to the public) by the same person that wrote them. (Like self-publishing a book, self-authoring a website, user-generated webpages, etc. With limited editorial oversight.)
  • WP:SELFCITE deals with references that are added (to Wikipedia) by the same person that wrote them. (Like writing an article/work/whatever, and then adding it themselves to Wikipedia. With good-faith intent or otherwise.)

To confirm: My concern was on the former. Not the latter.

Anyway. As we are no longer relying on a self-published genealogical website (subtitled "my ancestors"), and are using the Limerick Leader instead (likely subject to editorial oversight), the issue is addressed. Thanks! Guliolopez (talk) 12:56, 17 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Issue resolved. Thanks to you, fellow Wikipedia editor for your contributions, and your help and support on this matter. All the best

Canon Edmond Kelly

edit

Hello, did you use AI tools to help write Canon Edmond Kelly? The text appears to be mostly AI-generated, and several of the sources cited are dead. Wikishovel (talk) 06:15, 28 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

No it is not AI-generated, I will improve the issues re: my obselete and dead links. TheUltimateGenealogy (talk) 06:37, 28 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Hi TheUltimateGenealogy. Thank you for your work on Bertie Joyce. Another editor, Mariamnei, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Thank you for your work on this article. Please add sources for the following claims: "He pursued an interest in boxing during his youth." "of No. 234 Squadron RAF was shot down over Plourin. Joyce successfully bailed out but sustained injuries during his parachute descent. He subsequently sought shelter at the Pen Allan Garo farm." Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Your nomination of SolidSail has failed

Your good article nomination of the article SolidSail has failed. See the review page for more information. If or when the reviewer's feedback has been addressed, you may nominate the article again. Hi TheUltimateGenealogy, as the above GAN review was performed by a sockpuppet and wasn't good at all, I've deleted it. Your nomination is back in the queue and will be picked up by another reviewer, who will hopefully explain their reasoning and give you some time to fix any issues they find. Sorry for the inconvenience. Toadspike [Talk] 00:32, 21 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Manor of St. Sepulchre, a link pointing to the disambiguation page Adam Loftus was added. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ  Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
