Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because it has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia. Also, your username gives the impression that the account represents a business, organisation, group, website, or role, which is against the username policy.

If you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization, you may request unblock and a username change. In your reasons, you must follow all these steps:

  1. Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the paid-contribution disclosure requirement; and
  2. Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked; and
  3. Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked; and
  4. Provide a new username.

To do this, insert the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. If you are having trouble, you may want to try using the unblock wizard.

Before requesting a new username, check if it is still available. If the search says "There is no global account for [username]", the username is free to use.

Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the edit. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 14:57, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

The following request was written through the unblock wizard.
Can you explain, in your own words, why your edits were promotional?
I added content about a marine restoration project run by my employer, without disclosing that relationship, and the username I chose also implied that I was representing that organization. I tried to write neutrally, adding external sources, but apparently not disclosing my employment meant the edit functioned as promotion regardless of intent.
What is your relationship with the subjects you have been editing about?
I'm an employee of the company (Oyster Heaven) and I wrote about a marine restoration project run by the company.
If you are unblocked, what topic areas will you edit in?
I'd like to contribute to articles on marine restoration and sustainability practices, broadly examining European examples, since this is an area I follow closely through my work. Given my conflict of interest in this sector, I will only propose such content via disclosed talk-page edit requests, never direct mainspace edit.
Is there anything else that may be helpful to your unblock request?
I'm willing to add a formal COI/paid-editing disclosure to my user page before making any further edits, and I understand any content I propose related to Oyster Heaven needs review and approval by an independent editor before it's added.

Accept reason:

Thank you for identifying the correct rules to follow for paid editors. I have renamed your account and am unblocking it now. Please add the paid editor disclosure to your user page. If you have any questions about how to fill that out, please ask me for help. When making edit requests, you may find this helpful: Wikipedia:Edit Request Wizard. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 22:01, 6 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'd like to add two clarifications to my request above: I am employed by and compensated by Oyster Heaven, and the edits in question were made in that capacity as part of my job. I also want to state plainly that I understand this was against policy and I will not edit mainspace articles related to my employer again going forward.
