You are now a Reviewer

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:13, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 18:45, 3 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Melinda Y. Cohen

edit
Notice

The article Melinda Y. Cohen has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable BLP related to Daryush Shokof

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:00, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Former synagogues in South Africa

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Former synagogues in South Africa indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 22:15, 7 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Last year, you had Draft:Tali's Wedding Diary declined due to it containing copyright violations, and Diannaa warned you for introducing copyright violations on The Old Synagogue, Pretoria. Earlier today, you set off a bot by performing this edit, where you copy-pasted a large amount of text into a draft. You removed it, so thank you, but copyrighted text is not allowed anywhere on Wikipedia, even in draft space. I was hoping that that would be it, but I spot-checked your contributions and found that you very closely paraphrased part of the plot summary for Wait for Me (2022 film) from this website, which you cited. I have now removed it, but it unfortuantlely shows that these haven't been one-off issues. Before continuing to edit, please read the page Wikipedia:Copyright violations and WP:PARAPHRASE.

A recent history of copyright violations does prevent somebody from having the autopatrolled right, but I'd rather not WP:AN/I this, so I'm pinging @DragonflySixtyseven as the admin who granted you autopatrolled (all the way back in 2010). Having the autopratrolled right revoked won't impact you, it will just mean that your new creations get reviewed by New Page Reviewers. GreenLipstickLesbian (talk) 08:48, 10 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

"~ ~ ~ ~" when WikiProject tagging

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Information icon Hello, I'm Magnolia677. An edit that you recently made to Alliance Colony seemed to be generated using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology). Text produced by these applications is usually unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and may contain factually inaccurate statements, fictitious citations, or other problems. You should instead read reliable sources and then summarize those in your own words. Your edit may have been reverted. If you want to practice editing, please use your sandbox.
