I didn't realise that I was editing Wikipedia from another username
editWhen I tried to upload a picture to Wikimedia once, the system wouldn't let me, forcing me to create the address Sylvain5791 there to upload the image on Wikimedia. I didn't realise this address also worked on Wikipedia. And it was created from the same email address I use for the Sylvain1975 account. If I wanted to do anything wrong, I would have used a different email address. I didn't mean to do anything illegal; I just created the second address by mistake, because the system didn't let me upload an image to Wikimedia. Then, 2 days ago, I saw a date error (the starting date of a period) on one of my maps uploaded in Wikimedia, and wanted to correct it. Since that map was part of a series, I had to adjust the date of another map as well. So, I made changes on 2 maps in Wikimedia with the address Sylvain5791, because Wikimedia didn't let me to do these with my Wikipedia address (Sylvain1975). Then, without paying much attention from which address I was editing, thinking that my address on Wikipedia remained Sylvain1975, I made minor changes to the descriptions of these maps on the page I used them. So, without knowing, those two cyphers which I corrected on the 2 articles, were made with my Sylvain5791 (Wikimedia) address. I did not know that having two separate addresses on Wikipedia and Wikimedia was illegal and that clicking on Wikipedia would continue to make edits with this Wikimedia address on Wikipedia. This is how these 2 edits appeared on those 2 articles: Spring Campaign and Winter Campaign (1848-1849). You can see that on Wikipedia, I mistakenly made edits with the Sylvain5791 account in the articles I wrote myself, so I did not use it in other places for malicious purposes.
Sorry, I will not use the address Sylvain 5791 again. You can check my edits; I never used this address to deceive or manipulate anything. It was a mistake, that's it. I would be happy if the address Sylvain5791 would disappear, but my images uploaded to Wikimedia would remain and be transferred to my Sylvain1975 uploads!
