May I kindly ask what has been reverted and why. Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 19:41, 6 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Firstly, you put Y-9 image into Shaanxi Y-8 article on this edit, secondly you put number of Su-30M of Algerian Air Force as 70 on this edit, while the cited source (Military Balance 2024) state number of Su-30 is 59. Ckfasdf (talk) 01:49, 7 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then Pakistan Air Force operates Y-9 then why are they in the Operators section of Y-8? Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 00:28, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
I mean the PAF used to operate it they have recently retired it. Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 00:30, 8 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
Upon further investigation, it appears that there was a mistake in the description of the image on Commons, as it should be Y-8 instead of Y-9. However, I remain opposed to replacing the image with that of the Shaanxi Y-8. Even though it has an AWACS variant, the Y-8 is primarily a transport aircraft, so the image displayed should represent the Y-8 in its capacity as a transport aircraft. Information icon Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of airlines of Pakistan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Danners430 tweaks made 15:30, 24 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

The Reliable sources references are given on the SereneAir article of it's temporary suspension, My edit was correct, it's just that I don't know how to add a reference to a foreign website, If you know how to, please revert to my edit and add the referenced sources from Serene Air article to List of airlines of Pakistan, because as of now Serene Air is not operating any flight (domestic or International) due to fleet being inoperable. Thank you Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 21:16, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at List of Airbus A320 family operators, you may be blocked from editing. Danners430 tweaks made 10:54, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Its not unsourced, how is it unsourced, I have tagged the airlines article, it says it operates them. Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 12:09, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
You added a wikilink to another article - that's not a source. If there are sources in that article that verify what you're adding, then they have to be copied over to where you are adding that content. Readers aren't expected to go hunting for sources - it's up to editors to provide them. Danners430 tweaks made 12:20, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
So if I add reliable sources to articles reference section, can I make the edit? Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 12:35, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Absolutely - the best way to do this is using inline citations tagged against the information that the source verifies. See WP:Referencing for beginners if you're stuck :) Danners430 tweaks made 12:39, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 12:42, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I will try to find a better source that shows the exact fleet size of Airsial, I have provided another trusted source that backs that Airsial operates A320 , but doesn't specify how many. Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 10:38, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
I expect a reply, TY Syed Ayan Ather (talk) 12:14, 20 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Introduction to contentious topics

edit

You have recently edited a page related to the region of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Nepal), including but not limited to history, politics, ethnicity, and social groups, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days in order to make edits related to two subtopics: (1) Indian military history, or (2) caste-related topics in South Asia.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Air Indus

edit

I just reverted your edit because planespotters.net is not a reliable source - see WP:PLANESPOTTERS. Obviously you should add the data back if you can find a different source. Thanks. 10mmsocket (talk) 20:59, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

yes, your reason is completely understandable, but their is photographical evidence provided on the the planespotters.net source, it shows a Air Indus B737 parked somewhere at Phoenix Goodyear Airport partially scrapped and derelict, i would appreciate if you could check it out and reconsider, because i have another source from the website History of PIA but it only mentions the B737 retired but no mentioned of them being scrapped, possibly because it wasn't updated. TY:) StickJockey786 (talk) 21:41, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
It's user-generated content. Wikipedia just doesn't like photos as references 10mmsocket (talk) 21:57, 3 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced or poorly sourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Dassault Mirage 5. You've accumulated a litany of warnings for sourcing, and have been explicitly warned not to use Wikipeda as a source , to which you replied indicating understanding , and now you have again added Wikipedia as sources . Enough, you have had more than ample opportunity to learn, failure to adhere to WP:V and WP:RS one more time is extremely likely to end in an indefinite block. Stop. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 00:08, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Ok please relax, the discussion of using Wikipedia as source was a long time ago, and i haven't used Wiki as source since, or at least not until now, and I apologize for not remembering. I literally back all my edits with source, except some grammatical corrections, and very minor edits, I am not looked forward for Vandalism in fact I am against it. Most warning on my page are of "poorly sourced" edits rather than "unsourced" ones. There are many sources that Wikipedia accepts, but it doesn't sit well with some editors and that's fine, we mutually discuss an outcome. I hope you understand. TY :) StickJockey786 (talk) 00:27, 18 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

Reliable sources

edit

Hi, please note that not all sources are classed as reliable on Wikipedia. As with Planespotters, Simple Flying is also regarded as unreliable per WP:SIMPLEFLYING. I'd recommend having a look at WP:RSP, which is the list of "perennial sources" - ie sources that get discussed time and again, and many of them coming to the conclusion that they snouldn't be included.

Also, please don't mark such major additions such as you did at IndiGo fleet as "minor" - minor additions are edits such as typos, grammar tweaks, fixing markup etc. Danners430 tweaks made 15:10, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Sure i'll remove that source StickJockey786 (talk) 15:11, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yesss thats just a weird habit, sorry, ill try not to do it again :)) StickJockey786 (talk) 15:13, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Danners430, i don't understand why you removed the whole B-787 column, and not just the Simple Flying source? StickJockey786 (talk) 15:17, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
As far as I could tell, none of the other sources verified the number of seats so it was easier to rv until we could find a better source Danners430 tweaks made 15:19, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
So can i just write "N/A" on the Seat column?? StickJockey786 (talk) 15:20, 3 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
