- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue on the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, ~Rafael (He, him) • talk • guestbook • projects 00:13, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
Adding references to articles
editHi Smart Andrew. Can I suggest reading this guide on how to add references not articles, I found it helpful when starting out (especially the little video in the RefToolbar section). -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested «@» °∆t° 12:58, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Robert Mortimer II
edit
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Robert Mortimer II requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, as it exhibits signs of having been generated by an AI model with no clear human review. Text produced by these applications can be unsuitable for an encyclopedia and output must be carefully checked. For further information, see the section G15 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think these signs were incorrectly identified and you assert that you did carefully check the content, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Additionally – if you would like to create an article but find it difficult, please ask for help at the Teahouse.

Warning for LLM usage
edit
This is your only warning. If you continue to unconstructively edit Wikipedia using a large language model (an "AI chatbot" or other application using such technology), as you did at Robert Mortimer II, you will be blocked from editing. In particular, you used an LLM to create an article that had fake citations and information. This undermines Wikipedia's attempt to be a reliable informational source. If this happens again, you will be blocked.--SouthernNights (talk) 17:04, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
- I didn't use any language model or AI. I just copied the text from another website. Smart Andrew (talk) 22:34, 19 January 2026 (UTC)
- Well, you also can't copy text from another website to Wikipedia. If you keep doing that you'll also get blocked. SouthernNights (talk) 16:52, 21 January 2026 (UTC)
