Your submission at Articles for creation: Michael Jacob Margolies (May 19)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reasons left by Toddst1 were:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
This submission appears to read more like an advertisement than an entry in an encyclopedia. Encyclopedia articles need to be written from a neutral point of view, and should refer to a range of independent, reliable, published sources, not just to materials produced by the creator of the subject being discussed. This is important so that the article can meet Wikipedia's verifiability policy and the notability of the subject can be established. If you still feel that this subject is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, please rewrite your submission to comply with these policies.
The comment the reviewer left was:
The one article from The Street isn't enough to pass WP:GNG. This looks like a WP:PAID article to promote the subject. The entire Investments section reads more like a resume than an encyclopedia. I don't see why any of that should be included, other than to promote the subject.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Information icon Hello, I'm Toddst1. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Draft:Michael Jacob Margolies, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. WP:DOB is a particularly important aspect of WP:BLP. Hi @Toddst1Thanks so much for helping me out here! I just replaced some of the articles with more notable sources such as Barrons and WSJ. I will resubmit! Shockliesinquiry (talk) 18:09, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people).  The comment the reviewer left was:
Sources are interviews or his comments which are not independent so cannot be used to establish notability. Profiles are considered at best trivial coverage so not helpful. The best source is the Barron's One Man in Boca article but that is mostly about Avalon rather than him so leans weak for his notability.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
