Question from RMJ1230 on User talk:119.15.74.11 (10:58, 31 December 2025)
editHello and I want to know how many SCPs are there and what are there origin stories --RMJ1230 (talk) 10:58, 31 December 2025 (UTC)
- @RMJ1230I don’t see how this question relates to Wikipedia but I would suggest not Wikipedia but scp-wiki.wikidot.com --Seawolf35 T--C 15:02, 1 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Raviyogafoundation (13:20, 2 January 2026)
editHow do i create a new Wiki Page for someone --Raviyogafoundation (talk) 13:20, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Raviyogafoundation Welcome to Wikipedia! To start your own page please use the article wizard. For additional help see this page about creating your first article. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:05, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi! I am just learning and focusing on subject matter that I have a high level of knowledge on. I was wondering, If knowledge is commonly known in an industry but not documented in any articles, is it okay to add unsupported information provided i add a (citation needed) note --KCBernini (talk) 18:16, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- @KCBernini I wouldn’t add it without a citation to a reliable source, see WP:BURDEN. If it is very obvious and well known then may not need a citation. If this doesn’t answer your question please let me know. --Seawolf35 T--C 20:30, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks! I am getting the hang of it. I think for the one i'm thinking of i will keep looking for a source KCBernini (talk) 20:37, 2 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from EverydayCont (06:17, 3 January 2026)
editI recently made a small edit to a Wikipedia page for Christian IV of Denmark under the "In Fiction" heading.
I wrote, "Christian IV of Denmark was depicted in Olga Ravn's novella "The Wax Child" as the King responsible for beheading Christenze Kruckow as a result of the increase of witch trials under his rule" I linked both Ravn's and Kruckow's Wikipedia pages.
This was immediately undone by another user who identified the information as unconstructive and then instructed to go to Teahouse. I did but still do not feel I have any clarity.
Can you help me understand what is unconstructive about providing an additional source of fictional representation of this ruler? Or can you direct me to an article that can help me understand?
I really appreciate your direction! --EverydayCont (talk) 06:17, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- @EverydayCont I believe the reason the edit was undone was that it was unsourced. If you want to add that information back to the article then you should find a reliable source (TLDR: A Credible source) that supports the info you are adding. In the edit you will want to add a citation to said source, for direction on that see this page. If this doesn't answer you question please let me know. --Seawolf35 T--C 06:24, 3 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you. I have added several citations from multiple sources. I appreciate you taking time to help me! EverydayCont (talk) 07:11, 3 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Chompylover2011 (18:57, 4 January 2026)
editHello! I didn't know Wikipedia had mentors, anyway,, so, the most recent thing I've done is write the Synopsis section for We Bury the Dead, could you give me feedback on it? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_Bury_the_Dead --Chompylover2011 (talk) 18:57, 4 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Chompylover2011 It seems to be a bit long, though I have never watched that show before so I could be wrong about that. Also, there are no citations to reliable sources in your addition, those are needed to verify the information you added, for guidance on adding sources see this page. Hi!
I was wondering who to make a word explanation. The word is convulsion. Wikipedia doesn't have it anywhere. --KrisJuren (talk) 21:54, 10 January 2026 (UTC)

Question from Daviddaiva1234 (12:18, 12 January 2026)
editHello! How do I add references? --Daviddaiva1234 (talk) 12:18, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- @Daviddaiva1234 Your draft was completely unsourced. Also, I strongly doubt that it would be notable enough to not be deleted if it were moved to article space. For help adding references see this page. Furthermore, your draft would not be accepted since it is written in Spanish, to submit a Spanish language article, use the Spanish Wikipedia. --Seawolf35 T--C 14:11, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
Hi, I wanted to ask for a quick check on process rather than content.
I recently noticed that the miRTarBase article reflects an older release. I have a professional connection to the database (as an author of related peer-reviewed publications), so I followed COI practices by first posting a proposal on the article’s talk page, disclosing the connection, and offering to provide fully sourced factual updates.
At this stage, would you recommend waiting for talk-page feedback before making small, clearly factual updates (e.g., version/year), or is there a preferred way to proceed in this situation? --OrientC (talk) 07:55, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- @OrientC Since you have a conflict of interest with miRTarBase I would make an edit request. To do that I would read this guide and then use the edit request wizard to propose your change. After you propose either I or another editor will review it and either implement it or give you feedback on it, it will most likely be another editor since I do not understand the subject material very well. --Seawolf35 T--C 14:06, 12 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for the guidance! I’ve submitted an edit request on the article’s talk page with proposed, fully sourced updates, following the COI process you suggested.Talk:MiRTarBase OrientC (talk) 08:31, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
ACC Tool User access request approved
edit
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the account creation process and joining the account creation team as an ACC Tool User! I've reviewed your request for joining the account creation team as an ACC Tool User, as well as your Wikipedia account, and verified that you have signed the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information, meet the qualifications and requirements, and that your tenure, edits, history and conduct, and level of experience on Wikipedia would make a good fit as a member of the team. I'm pleased to inform you that I've approved your ACC Tool User request and have granted your ACC Tool Account with the necessary permissions in order to access to the ACC Tool User interface.
You are now able to access the ACC Tool User interface by navigating to this page. You'll want to bookmark this location, as this is the URL that you'll navigate to each time in order to log in and access the interface. Before you begin handling or processing any Account Request Applications, please verify with 100% certainty that you have fully reviewed and understand everything instructed and described on both the Wikipedia ACC guide page for ACC Tool Users, as well as Wikipedia's username policy. To help with familiarizing yourself with the process, as well as with verifying that you're following the request an account guide at all times, I also highly recommended that you bookmark both of these locations as well.
Please subscribe yourself to the private ACC Tool User mailing list as soon as possible by following the instructions provided on that webpage. Being subscribed to the ACC Tool User mailing list is required of all current ACC Tool Users, and remaining subscribed to the list is a condition of access to the ACC Tool User Interface and your standing as an ACC Tool User.
I also recommend that you join us on the private IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect channel, which is only for active and current ACC Tool Users in good standing. In this channel, a bot automatically informs us as soon as a new Account Request Application comes in, and other ACC Tool Users and ACC Tool Administrators are available to provide real-time advice, input, and assistance should you run into any questions or need help with anything. If you're active on IRC, have a registered nickname with a cloak, and would like access to the private IRC #wikipedia-en-accounts connect channel, please let me know (include your full nick, including cloak) and I'll grant you access to the channel.
Important things to note:
- All Account Request Applications must be handled diligently, thoroughly, correctly, and according to (and within compliance of) the Wikipedia request an account guide. The process of handling and reviewing open Account Request Applications is not a race, and failure to correctly assess and process them will result in corrective action by an ACC Tool Administrator, up to and including suspension of your ACC Tool User account or the revocation of your access to the ACC Tool User interface.
- Releasing, publishing, sharing, or otherwise disclosing or making available any kind of non-public or personal identifiable information (such as real names, locations, email addresses, IP addresses, or other such information as described and defined in the Wikimedia Foundation confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information), whether intentionally or unintentionally, is considered an extremely serious violation of ACC policies, Wikipedia's policies, the Wikimedia Foundation Privacy Policy, and the Wikimedia Foundation confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information that you've agreed to and signed, and will result in immediate removal of access to the ACC Tool User interface.
The MediaWiki software limits the number of new account creations that a logged-in user can perform, which is currently set to a maximum of six new account creations within a 24 hour period. In addition, logged-in users will be disallowed from creating a new account if the desired username is flagged by the Wikipedia AntiSpoof software feature (usually because it is similar or too similar to the username of an existing Wikipedia account). When a new Account Request Application is received with a requested username that flags the AntiSpoof feature, the Account Creation Interface automatically sorts and places these requests into the "Flagged user needed" queue. After some time has gone by, and after you've demonstrated proficiency with the account creation process and reached a sufficient number of proper request closures without issues, you'll be able to request the account creator user permissions for your Wikipedia account using this page. This will lift the restriction of maximum accounts that you can create within a 24 hour period, as well as allow you to override AntiSpoof flags and proceed with creation in cases where this is allowed by the ACC guide.
Welcome to the ACC team! Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions or if you need assistance with anything, including getting yourself subscribed to the internal ACC Tool User mailing list. Thanks again for volunteering to serve as member of the ACC team and participating in the account creation process, and I'll see you on the ACC interface soon! ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 21:53, 13 January 2026 (UTC)
hi. you're technicly my mentor but I have oodles more experience with wikipetan than you.
editonly created an account because wikimedia foundation got ursurped by american corpos. the whole temp acc thing is to make tracking users easier. so they can block guys like lane from actually improving the encyclopedia. that used to be the #1 guideline, until the NPOVfags took over. yeah, im salty, how could u tell? Question from SubOptimal-1 (02:13, 20 January 2026)
editHello Seawolf35, I posted a query on the Literate Programming page, asking about the absence of the FunnelWeb tool. Is there any way that I can connect my account, SubOptimal-1 to it? All the best --SubOptimal-1 (talk) 02:13, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- @SubOptimal-1 I believe that you are asking how to include it in the article. Please be aware that Wikipedia is not for promotion and the article should not be used to promote the FunnelWeb tool. If you are anyway connected to the FunnelWeb tool or Dr. Ross Williams you should make an edit request on the talk page of the article using this tool. If I have misunderstood your question please let me know. --Seawolf35 T--C 18:48, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Question from MROResearcher (09:35, 26 January 2026)
editHello, I was editing my article at least 5 times. And on my contribution list it says 0 edits. I am almost ready with my article draft now and would like to publish it, but I cannot find the move option on my account. Can you help me and tell me how to publish it? Best, MRO Researcher --MROResearcher (talk) 09:35, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- @MROResearcher I'm not quite sure what you mean by you "contribution list" showing 0 edits, on your contributions page it shows that you have 5 edits. I have moved your sandbox to Draft:Spairliners GmbH, when you are ready to submit it for review edit the page to add {{subst:Submit}} to the top of the draft. --Seawolf35 T--C 14:54, 26 January 2026 (UTC)
- I have added a button at the top of the draft to make this easier. - UtherSRG (talk) 15:26, 26 January 2026 (UTC)

Hi! In the future (after good amounts of practice) I hope to create an article that doesn't yet exist on English Wikipedia. But it does exist on another language's Wikipedia. I'm disastrously monolingual and couldn't translate that article myself. What's the usual protocol for that? Is it accepted to start over on an English article with English sources, or put that other article forward somewhere for translation, or both? --PatchNine (talk) 15:17, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
- @PatchNine As far as I know, there is no central place to put articles forward for translation here on EnWiki, as to other wikis I don’t know. It would probably be best to start over and use the sources present in the existing article plus new ones if needed to create an English article. --Seawolf35 T--C 15:45, 29 January 2026 (UTC)
