We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Sean Hearne, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Seanhearne001, please could you respond to this? Thank you. -Kj cheetham (talk) 14:59, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I note the declaration on User:Seanhearne001, thank you for that. Do you have links to the other biographical articles you've edited recently? -Kj cheetham (talk) 15:02, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Here are a few of the other bio pages that I have edited recently:
Julia Phillips (physicist)
C. Barry Carter
Katherine Jungjohann Seanhearne001 (talk) 15:50, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have also been working on a page for the following center. I am still working to get it approved: Draft:Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies Seanhearne001 (talk) 15:51, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the note. I did not perform and edits for purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting. My edits were largely to take information from the main portion of the document and place that same information in a text box. I tried very carefully not to add any new content to the page due to my COI. Seanhearne001 (talk) 15:48, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Many thanks for your reply. I've not reviewed those other articles carefully, but for the sake of transparency I've added a banner to their talk pages. -Kj cheetham (talk) 16:01, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Great, thank you for the assistance. I appreciate your guidance as am clearly a newbie, but trying to add where I can. Seanhearne001 (talk) 16:23, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Make sure you add references that meet all four of these criteria before resubmitting. Learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
For a Wikipedia article about an organization to be published, the company must be notable. An organization is notable if it is has significant coverage in several independent, reliable sources. Under Wikipedia's guidelines: "No company or organization is considered inherently notable." Coverage of a company is significant if the subject is covered in depth in the source; passing mentions and routine news stories are generally not significant.

Under Wikipedia's guidelines, sources that discuss only a part, product, or person associated with an organization is not significant with regard to the organization itself. "Deep or significant coverage provides an overview, description, commentary, survey, study, discussion, analysis, or evaluation of the product, company, or organization."

The sources cited here do not significantly discuss the Center.

Please remove external links from the body of the article. Also, LinkedIn is generally not a reliable source.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

December 2023

Information icon Hi Seanhearne001! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Sean Hearne that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 15:01, 26 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the information. I tried to make sure that none of the edits I made were of any substitutive impact due to the COI I have with this page. Seanhearne001 (talk) 16:25, 27 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
