First time making wiki page :) Sourced it and redrafted with only viable data, has photographic records and certificates of British Gov Held papers, ancestry which is a trusted soruce and myheritage. RoyalRedRanger (talk) 18:57, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hi @RoyalRedRanger. Thanks for the reply.
The Ancestry source is just a list of people with the surname. We require published sources that any reader can verify, so "Photographic Evidence" isn't a suitable source. And forebears.io is just a database listing.
We'd need some sort of mainstream academic/historical book or journal that outlines the surname. qcne (talk) 19:34, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well this is my issue, im the first source apart from my families records (ones displayed) that is writing about the history on the internet, the only records of us are those through ancestry, my aim on here was more to be the original primary source as theres very little on our history :) RoyalRedRanger (talk) 19:42, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
Ah, unfortunately then Wikipedia is the wrong venue: we don't allow original research. Wikipedia is a tertiary source: that means we only summarise secondary (and to a limited extent, primary) sources. Sorry, but perhaps a blog is a better venue? qcne (talk) 19:46, 11 November 2025 (UTC)Reply
