A new tool

My recent analysis of user comments at WT:FAC has led to what I have been considering, among other things, to be a new tool for English Wikipedia. The idea is that once a discussion is deemed to have reached an end, any uninvolved user should be able to call the tool to generate a summary of what each user said as a whole. The benefit is that multiple comments by a user can be merged to form a clearer picture of their overall thoughts.

The intention is for it to work only for discussions at WT:FAC and, if successful, perhaps WP:GAN later. I have never undertaken a major programming project beyond schoolwork, so I would appreciate any guidance.

Meanwhile, I have been busy with examination preparations, and I should hopefully be able to return to full-time activities by the end of the month when I am free again. I look forward to your thoughts. Best, MSincccc (talk) 10:04, 10 May 2026 (UTC)

You may be eligible to vote in the U4C election

I am contacting you because you previously voted in elections related to the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). You may be eligible to vote in the current U4C election, which is open now and closes on 2 June 2026. You can find out more about the candidates and the election on the election page on Meta, and from there you can access the vote itself. Your participation in these elections is important to the governance of Wikimedia communities, and your time spent learning about the candidates and voting is appreciated.

Congratulations, RoySmith! The article you nominated, Big Duck, has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main Page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, FrB.TG (talk) via FACBot (talk) 23:05, 24 May 2026 (UTC)
