Speedy deletion nomination of Comics+

edit

Hello Rodolfomartinez1978,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Comics+ for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Swpbtalk 19:54, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Did you intend to contest the deletion on the article talk page? All you did was paste a couple of deletion notices. If you think the article meets our standards for inclusion, please explain your reasoning. Swpbtalk 20:09, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

The current page has already been deleted. You can create it again, but before you do, you might want to familiarize yourself with some of our important policies: WP:Notability, and WP:Reliable sources. Wikipedia gets thousands of new articles every day, and many of them are on topics that are not notable enough for it to be possible to create a well-researched, neutral encyclopedia article. We've adopted these policies so that we can maintain a minimum standard of quality here. If you do intend to create the article again, your first step should be to look for sources that estabilish notability, and to make sure they are reliable enough (for instance, they are independent of the subject). If you can't find such sources, it may just be too soon for this topic to have an article. Swpbtalk 20:26, 22 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Comics+ Article

edit

Thanks for the clarification. Is the article completely gone? I just feel like I did put some work into that. Based on what you saw, what are the key points I could include to keep this from happening in the future?

Thanks Rodolfo

Your submission at Articles for creation: Lucha Comics (December 2)

edit
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Greenman was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
None of the sources are useful in establishing notability. Wikipedia cannot be used, and the remaining two are not independent.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Comic book grading moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Comic book grading, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
