January 2026
editHello RandomPerson238. Regarding the recent revert you made: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Lynch44 22:06, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for telling me! I’ve done that. RandomPerson238 (talk) 22:13, 20 January 2026 (UTC)
Please just deny recognition and ignore, rather than comment. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 03:48, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry, I frequently forget about this. I'll try to remember to ignore them more. Thanks for the reminder. RandomPerson238 04:03, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
Baldi's Basics reverted edit
editHello! I'm new here, so obviously you know more than me. However, I was just wondering, why did you revert the edits I made on the Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning Page? (correcting characters names Bully --> It's a Bully, Principal --> Principal of the Thing) (You mentioned it as "unconstructive", so could you also just tell me what that means specifically? Thanks!) Cheesybear1337 (talk) 01:09, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- As always, I make mistakes all the time. I think that you should be right in this case after I looked into this a little more. (The rest of the article did not have these names, neither did the sources, but other places seem to agree with you). Sorry for reverting your edit. (In general, "unconstructive" means the editor thinks it's not helpful, but is not qualify as vandalism). RandomPerson238 01:17, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- OK, thanks. Should I add these changes, or will you? Cheesybear1337 (talk) 01:20, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- Sorry! I did not see your message. You can change them, or I can. Either of us is ok. I'll let you do it unless you want me to do it. RandomPerson238 01:21, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- Anyways, feel free to redo your edit. RandomPerson238 01:20, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- If possible, i'd rather you do it, as I wouldn't consider myself "professional" enough to do so, LOL. Appreciate it alot. Cheesybear1337 (talk) 01:24, 18 April 2026 (UTC)
- I've done it! Also, I saw . Either this page or Wikipedia is copying from each other. (Nothing you have to do, just a note) RandomPerson238 01:31, 18 April 2026 (UTC)

Adminship
editAlice Nicole Smith reverted your edits and added a few more things on her adminship page. I can't revert it because of conflicting edits. — Versions111 (talk • contribs) 11:34, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- Also, The temporary account who voted Alice is herself, considering the TA only has one edits one associated account. Versions111 (talk • contribs) 11:40, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- Nevermind, the adminship election ended. Versions111 (talk • contribs) 11:42, 19 April 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. (I don't see why you can't revert it though, it's completely uncontroversial.) The user is blocked now. RandomPerson238 15:48, 19 April 2026 (UTC)

Rollback granted
edit
Hi RandomPerson238. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!
I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 18:35, 1 May 2026 (UTC)
Hi! In the future, no need to edit war with the user on their own talk page. I would recommend either pinging the original admin for TPA revoke or heading to ANI. – LuniZunie(talk) 22:02, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know. RandomPerson238 23:17, 11 May 2026 (UTC)
Adding external link to page
editHi there
Thank you for pointing out that external links should be added to the end of the page, rather than within the text.
I am a new user and an wondering if you could give me advice on how to do that. Tuesday's Child (talk) 04:22, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- WP:External Links might be helpful. RandomPerson238 05:06, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Tuesday's Child To summarize what's in the guideline, you can link to external websites in the External Links section if they are related to the topic of the page. Please let me know if you have any more questions. RandomPerson238 19:29, 17 May 2026 (UTC)
- I have an external link that is relevant but can't see where the "External Links" section is. Tuesday's Child (talk) 22:50, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- Have now found the correct place to add an external link. Tuesday's Child (talk) 23:01, 18 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Eeeyorelore (21:53, 18 May 2026)
editHi, nice to meet you! Can I make minor edits to articles without asking anyone? --Eeeyorelore (talk) 21:53, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Eeeyorelore Welcome to Wikipedia, and yes, you can, and definitely should. Fixes such as spelling mistakes, grammar mistakes, and minor changes can be marked as minor and done without asking. Even when not minor, if an edit seems useful to you, you should do it without asking. Your first edit was great, and you should keep doing things like that. RandomPerson238 22:13, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hello again! I have a question -- how do I know if a source is proper enough to cite? Eeeyorelore (talk) 04:45, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Also, what do I do if I find a source on Wikipedia that is not up to whatever snuff there is? Eeeyorelore (talk) 05:09, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Sources that are secondary and are peer-reviewed are generally reliable. With that said, not all reliable sources meet those requirements. If a source is self-published, then it is probably not reliable. Not all sources have to be very reliable to be included, though. There are many cases where less reliable sources can be used without issue. RandomPerson238 05:26, 3 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Daniel Worrall (08:39, 20 May 2026)
editHi there how long do I have to wait to add an image to a page I have already posted the photo or file on wiki --Daniel Worrall (talk) 08:39, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
- @Daniel Worrall Welcome! You can add it right now. Your image is File:Watchman Burial Site.jpg so putting
[[File:Watchman Burial Site.jpg]]on the page will add the picture. If you need more help you can tell me where to add it and I can add it for you. RandomPerson238 18:06, 20 May 2026 (UTC)
Pending changes reviewer granted
edit
Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection turned on is located at Special:StablePages.
Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Question from Ashkanalrz (16:36, 3 June 2026)
editHi, I am an employee of Parsvisa Canadian Immigration Consulting Inc., and I want to create a page for our business on Wikipedia. How can I do it?
Thank you --Ashkanalrz (talk) 16:36, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Doing this is strongly discouraged, but it's still possible. You'll have to find reliable, independent sources and declare your paid relation. It's recommended that you use the Article Wizard and read the Plain and simple conflict of interest guide to know the policies around this. RandomPerson238 21:09, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
- Also, please read the scam warning. Editors writing about things that are related to them are common targets. No one from Wikipedia will ever ask you to pay them to help edit. RandomPerson238 21:13, 3 June 2026 (UTC)
Question from V00tesaxon (16:34, 5 June 2026)
editHello, I'm new to editing Wikipedia and got a few questions — firstly, at what level can I start adding foreign language versions to existing pages? Secondly, what is considered a fine source? When citing (specifically TV or related topics), can you add links from IMDb, or fan-made sites, or just Wiki fandom pages? If not, where to find information on basic things? Thank you very much in advance, I hope you respond. --V00tesaxon (talk) 16:34, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia and thanks for your recent edits. I hope you will stay around!
- First, if you mean translations, then you can start at any time. If you want to translate an article from English to another language, that translation will belong on the other Wikipedia's pages, not the English one. You'll have to ask on their Wikipedia for guideline or requirements. If you want to translate from another language to English, the easiest way is to use the WP:Content translation tool. However, as you are not extended confirmed, you'll be restricted to creating pages in your user space. Alternatively, you can create a draft without the tool and make translations. There is a help page Help:Translation for more information.
- For sources, the main rule is that it should be reliable and independent. Self-published sources like fan-made sites or Wiki fandom pages or IMDb are definitely not reliable. (See WP:USERGENERATED) Particularly, there is consensus not to use Fandom (WP:FANDOM) or IMDb (WP:IMDB) in articles. Instead, you should look for things like manuals if there are, interviews, news articles, and other more reliable sources.
- I hope this helped. If you have any questions, please let me know. RandomPerson238 18:55, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
- Thank you so much RandomPerson238, I can't wait to get started with bigger edits. V00tesaxon (talk) 18:57, 5 June 2026 (UTC)
