editI've been reverting vandalism for a day or two and I've seen you revert a lot of stuff that I was about to! I was just wondering exactly what filters you use to watch for vandalism. I personally have my recent changes set up to show "likely bad faith, very likely bad faith, likely has problems, very likely has problems", and "latest revision", and I suspect yours is similar! - I use https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:RecentChanges?userExpLevel=unregistered&hidecategorization=1&hideWikibase=1&hidelog=1&hidenewuserlog=1&limit=50&days=1&urlversion=2 which shows a real time feed.i don't find the bad faith filters useful. I use a custom script that can be installed by adding
importScript("user:Patchesthesnake/ticker.js")to special:mypage/common.js. The script displays at the top of the page something like "đ¨ Vandalism Prospects: Newest: Blake and Mortimer (TV series) (diff) | Next Chrono: John Kizell (diff)" where newest is the newest change by an unresisted user and Next Chrono is the next recent change after it. I also use a script witch can be added by addingimportScript("user:Patchesthesnake/reporttoolbar.js")to special:mypage/common.js witch shows warnings the user has has an aiv report button, and allows adding a warning on the diff and undo pages. - Appoliges for the grammer/spelling Patchesthesnake (talk) 23:11, 19 February 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I'm Joyous!. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, A. P. Rajah, but you didn't provide a reliable source. On Wikipedia, it's important that article content be verifiable. If you'd like to resubmit your change with a citation, your edit is archived in the page history. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This doesn't mean the information can't go in the article, but it does need to be cited to a reliable published source. Joyous! Noise! 01:24, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- ~2026-44400-1 removed "He is the only known individual to have served as a judge, diplomat and politician in the course of his life." previously with the note "removing nonesence", and assumed they were blanking with no good reason. i did not add it, i simply undid what i thought was unnecessary removal of content Patchesthesnake (talk) 02:13, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- No worries. Glad you're here. Joyous! Noise! 02:40, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
- This is part of recent change patrolling that can be tricky. Blanking is commonly vandalism, but whenever we revert someone who is blanking, we are taking responsibility for the content we're reintroducing. Per WP:BURDEN,
The burden to demonstrate verifiability lies with the editor who adds or restores material
(emphasis mine). Essentially, if someone removes information that has no source and we revert that removal, we need to be able to defend that re-addition of material as if we wrote it ourselves. Don't sweat it, though. I think everyone who does recent change patrolling ran into this when they first started. I know I did ;) --tony 02:41, 20 February 2026 (UTC)- +1 everyone makes that mistake sooner or later; arguably the ones who make it early are the lucky ones. lp0 on fire () 08:44, 20 February 2026 (UTC)
