Artificial intelligence in Europe
editKia ora! I've nominated Artificial intelligence in Europe for deletion (AfD here) and saw that you'd sccepted it at AfC. To expand on my nomination statement, this contains a lot of currently popular Signs of AI writing including § Superficial analyses, § Outline-like conclusions about challenges and future prospects, and § Leads treating Wikipedia lists or broad article titles as proper nouns. Another edit by this article's creator is being discussed on the AI noticeboard which led me to look into their other contributions. I might be wrong – detecting AI is more of an art than a science; but it's important to be on the lookout for AI in drafts because so many new editors want to take shortcuts.
Tangentially, a couple of things that can help reviewers review each other's work:
- Archiving old messages on your talk page rather than just deleting them, so it's easier to see old discussions
- Enabling a log of your AfC reviews – this can also give you a sense of achievement as a reviewer
These aren't mandatory, but they can make an admin's job easier if you want to request renewal after your AfC probation. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 13:06, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi @ClaudineChionh. Thanks for reaching out. I actually went back and forth on that one, the revision history threw me off at first, but looking at it again, I definitely see the AI hallmarks you mentioned. I appreciate the second set of eyes!
- Regarding your suggestions:
- 1. I just enabled archiving on my talk page earlier this week! :)
- 2. I had no idea the AfC review log was a thing. Fhanks so much for the tip, that’s really helpful to know.
- Thanks again for the guidance and for looking out for the project. I'm looking forward to putting these tools to use! Nixleovel (He/They) (Talk • Contribs) 19:19, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
- No worries, happy to help! It takes a while to develop a nose for AI and even after a year of AfC I sometimes ask for another set of eyes. ClaudineChionh (she/her · talk · email · global) 22:40, 12 May 2026 (UTC)
